Description

Techy Techy Limits adds the **World Key**. Use a blank key and a brand-new world is procedurally made on the spot, with its own seed, its own look and its own rules. The key is bound to that world for good. Use it again to travel there, and use it inside the world to go home. Every world is permanent and saved with your game, so you can keep going back.

Make as many worlds as you like, or let a server set a limit.

## How it works

- **Craft a World Key:** an amethyst shard on top, gold ingots on the sides and bottom, an ender pearl in the middle.
- **First use:** a new world is rolled and you are taken there. The key now shows the world's name, like *Amber Reach* or *Sunken Spires*.
- **Use it again** from anywhere to travel back.
- **Use it inside its world** to return to the exact spot you left from.
- **Bring friends:** put a bound key in a crafting grid with blank keys to make copies, and keep your original.

## No two worlds alike

Every world is rolled at random. Most land somewhere in the middle; the extremes are rare and worth hunting for.

- **Fifty terrain styles.**
  - *Everyday land:* standard, wide continents, plains, rolling lowlands, hillocks, lake districts, river deltas, marsh flats.
  - *Cliffs and cuts:* canyon lands, mesas, escarpments, ravines, sinkholes, crater fields, ledges, overhangs.
  - *Mountains:* amplified peaks, knife ridges, sky-high mountains up to the build limit, fjords, badland ridges, glaciers.
  - *Water and fire:* archipelagos, atolls, scattered islets, a lone island in an endless ocean, karst towers, volcanoes, rivers of lava, dune seas.
  - *Rock formations:* stone pillars, spires, natural arches, stone fins, basalt causeways, honeycomb ground, huge cave domes lit from above.
  - *Truly strange:* sky islands, tiered islands, floating shards, stacked layer-cake floors, land on stilts, upside-down mountains, and a hollow world.
- **Biomes:** from a single biome stretching forever to a patchwork of thirty. Biomes from other mods join in when they are tagged as overworld biomes.
- **Twenty ground palettes,** from plain stone or barren rock up to concrete and glazed terracotta.
  - *Natural:* plain stone, natural stone bands, dark deepslate and tuff, mossy cobblestone, pale calcite and dripstone, or a barren world of bare rock.
  - *Dry and wet:* sandstone deserts with the odd grassy oasis, red sandstone, badlands terracotta, muddy wetlands.
  - *Fire and ice:* volcanic blackstone and basalt with magma deep down, frozen snow and blue ice, a nether of netherrack and nylium.
  - *Strange:* glittering crystal, sea-green prismarine, end stone and purpur, weathered copper, bright concrete, loud glazed terracotta, and a patchwork of everything at once.
- **Riches:** from barren (no ore at all) to *infinite riches*, where the rock itself is full of ore.
- **Seas:** water, lava, or none at all.
- **Sky:** each world tints its sky and fog, from a faint shade to a fully alien colour.
- **Time:** a normal day, a long or short day, or a world frozen at noon, dusk or midnight.
- **Life:** some worlds are peaceful, some have tougher monsters, and a few have low or heavy gravity.
- **Ruins and vaults:** crumbling ruins on the surface and sealed vaults deep below, each with a chest. The richer the world, the better the loot.

## For server owners

- `/limits` lets operators list worlds, read any world's traits, travel, send players home, hand out keys, and create a world of a chosen terrain style and ground palette. In singleplayer and on LAN the world's owner can always use it.
- `maxWorlds` in the server config caps how many worlds blank keys can make (64 by default; 0 means no limit).
- Worlds only load when someone visits them, so unused worlds cost nothing.
- Built to stay light on weak PCs: every terrain style uses the normal terrain generator's own building blocks.

## Good to know

- Beds work as normal and set your respawn point, even in a world that has to load first when you die. Sleeping skips the night in worlds with a day; where time stands still at dusk or midnight, or in caverns, you can nap at any time. A world stuck at noon has no night to sleep through, but its beds still set your spawn.
- Worlds made with an older version keep their terrain and ground exactly as they were.
- Install on both the client and the server.

Requires NeoForge for Minecraft 26.3.
