Curse Maven Snippet
What's new

One change of behaviour since 1.0.0, and it is worth a minute of your time.
Markers no longer go to strangers
In 1.0.0, when no team system was in play — no FTB party, no vanilla /team — your
markers went to everyone within 512 blocks. On a server with four friends on it that is
exactly what you want. On a public one it means the people over the next hill see where
you are looking.
From 1.0.1 a marker with no team behind it goes to you and nobody else. That is the rule waypoints already followed, and now both work the same way.
If you liked the old behaviour, it is a switch rather than a default. Open the waypoint
list on Ctrl + Shift + Y and turn on "No team: show my markers to players nearby".
- Off until you turn it on.
- It decides who sees your markers, so nobody else's setting changes what happens to yours.
- Remembered between sessions, and sent to the server when you join.
- Does nothing at all while you are in a team.
Running a server? soloModeRadius still sets how far "nearby" reaches — it now applies
only to the players who asked for it. teamProvider = "solo" is unchanged: that one is a
deliberate server-wide decision, so it still hands the radius to everybody.
Pointing at a player when nobody has a team
You now get a plain marker with their name on it instead of a red Enemy. With no teams
anywhere on the server there is nothing to tell apart, and painting a mate red because
nobody had run /team was simply wrong. Ally and Enemy behave exactly as before the
moment a team exists.
Upgrading
Drop the new jar in and delete the old one. Configs, waypoints and keybinds all carry over untouched. No new dependencies, same Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge.
