Description
Survival Contract
Pick your constraints. Earn your score. Survive the contract.
Survival Contract turns ordinary survival into a scored, competitive challenge. Before the run begins, the lobby votes on a contract — a set of self-imposed rules, a profession, and a final goal — and the server scores everyone against it. Play it solo as a personal challenge, or split into teams and race to be the highest-scoring player when the contract ends.
Everything is driven from an in-game Challenge Book (default key: B). No config editing
required — the host and every player pick, toggle and confirm rules from a single clickable GUI.
Highlights
- 70+ challenge rules — from "No Enchanting Table" and "No Chests" to diseases, environmental hazards and mob modifiers. Each rule is worth points: the harsher the restriction, the more it pays.
- 10 professions — each with unique abilities, immunities and starting gear.
- 11 Encounter Events — randomly triggered ambushes that award score for surviving them.
- Live scoring with violations — earn points for your rules, lose points when you break them.
- 4 game modes — Classic, God's Lies, Smuggler & Prosecutor, and Civilization.
- 4 final goals & limited or unlimited time — Random, Free the End, The End... Again, or Wither Manor.
- Custom superflat terrain presets — Overworld, Miner's Dream, Snow Kingdom, Desert.
- Full team support — shared team chest, team scoring, spectator mode, hunter rules.
The Challenge Book
Press B to open the Challenge Book — the control panel for the whole match.
- Mode — Solo or Team.
- Rules — click cards to toggle challenges on or off. They are grouped into:
- Divine Contract — the standard restrictions (crafting, enchanting, containers, resources…).
- Chronic Illness — disease-style rules with real health consequences.
- Environment — rules shared by every player (time, mobs, moon phases, ambushes…).
- Combat & Survival modifiers — customizable debuffs such as reduced attack, lower armor, slower movement, less oxygen, more fire / fall / wither / lightning / freeze damage and more.
- Profession — pick from 10 roles (see below).
- Goal — choose a target or leave it Random.
- Duration — set a time limit in minutes, or play unlimited.
- Encounter Events — enable optional ambush events that grant extra score.
- Ready check — in multiplayer at least two different players must confirm before the run starts.
Every rule card shows its score value and death penalty, so players always know what they are signing up for.
Professions
Ten professions, each with distinct perks, immunities and starting items:
| Profession | Theme |
|---|---|
| No Profession | No special abilities, but a bonus to your starting score. |
| Chef | Turns hunger loss from non-meat food into a gain; bread and baked potatoes never cost you score. |
| Warrior | Cooked meat grants Strength II; eating meat never costs you score. |
| Scout | Movement, jump and oxygen debuffs flip into buffs; jumping and potions never cost you score. |
| Archer | +50% bow, crossbow and thrown-trident damage; ranged attacks ignore damage-reduction rules; starts with a Power 3 / Unbreaking 5 bow. |
| Miner | Holding any pickaxe grants infinite Haste II; mining and diamond/emerald/netherite gains never cost you score; starts with an unbreakable Efficiency 4 golden pickaxe. |
| Artisan | Starts with a crafting table, grindstone and anvil; immune to the enchanting-table and anvil rules; crafted gear has chances for Unbreaking, Mending, Efficiency and Sharpness. |
| Jester | Immune to any gain-item score-loss rule; forbidden items are never confiscated. |
| Musician | Plays note blocks to buff allies or debuff enemies, with ensemble bonuses and sonic attacks; immune to negative status effects. |
| Thief | Seize a creature's weapon and armor, or instantly execute head-dropping mobs for their head; immune to score loss when killed by hostile mobs. |
Encounter Events
Encounter Events are optional ambushes that trigger on players during the run and award score for surviving them. Expect Lightning Strikes, Pillager Squads, Camel Riders, Zombie Horse Cavalry, Skeleton Horse Traps, Silent Creepers, Elite Skeleton Squads, the Killer Rabbit, The Four Brothers, Hunger Bombs and the Crimson Invasion.
Game Modes
- Classic — the standard scored survival contract.
- God's Lies — every rule and event is hidden and randomly assigned; an invisible Envoy of God lurks among the players. Complete tasks to earn accusation rights, or (as the Envoy) to punish a chosen player. Reach zero score and you are eliminated.
- Smuggler & Prosecutor — a bluffing mode built around bribe bags, cargo bags and inspections. Name a prosecutor, face the countdown, and accept a bribe or demand an inspection.
- Civilization — a base-building, territory-control playstyle: claim wool blocks to expand your team's land, run production zones for resources, and trade points with your team's base merchant.
Scoring
- Every player starts with an initial score. In Team mode the score is multiplied by the number of same-coloured teammates, and only the offender loses points on a violation.
- Each enabled rule is worth points; breaking it costs points and shows a clear violation message.
- Deaths, void falls and specific kill conditions carry their own penalties.
- Exclusive Tasks are dealt to each player with a difficulty grade (B → S). Complete them for points; with Task Rush every player shares one task that refreshes for everyone at once.
- Optional Hunter Game (Team mode): killing an enemy player steals 2 of their points, while killing a teammate penalises the entire team.
