Summiteer 0.1.0 (Fabric)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
The first release of Summiteer: mountains worth climbing.
- Weather up high. Above the treeline, gusts of wind push you around (a whoosh and a rush of snow warn you two seconds ahead; crouch to brace, or get under a roof). In a snowstorm up high, or on a summit at night, the cold starts to freeze you; a fire or a lit campfire keeps it off. When it rains below, it snows on the summits, in a whiteout that closes the fog in.
- Mountain clothes. A beanie, parka, snow pants and wool socks, knitted from any wool and dyeable like leather armour. Each piece slows the freezing; the full set with climbing gloves keeps the cold off.
- Climbing gear. The ice axe climbs snow, ice, and bare rock above the treeline, and you slide down a wall unhurt if you fall past one. Climbing gloves keep your hands warm and climb faster. Crampons stop you slipping on ice, let you walk on powder snow, and halve the wind's push. Snow goggles let you see much further in a whiteout. Right-click to put them on; they show on your character.
