New Stage: Merger

Added a new major stage after Schism: The Merger.

The Merger continues the late-stage path with a corporate wellness / forced-department-consolidation theme. It has its own reminder messages, status lines, flavor lines, popup colors, button labels, prefix behavior, and progression.

Merger progression includes:

  • Early Merger
  • Mid Merger
  • Late Merger

New Merger button labels include:

  • ACTION ITEM COMPLETE
  • CIRCLE BACK LATER
  • REJECT SYNERGY
  • ALIGN
  • DEFER ALIGNMENT
  • DISRUPT ROADMAP

New Merger Events

Added several special Merger events:

  • Popup Fusion
    • The internal departments consolidate into one corporate wellness entity.
  • Mandatory Team-Building Exercise
    • A special popup/event with meeting-style button labels.
  • Performance Improvement Plan
    • A form-style late Merger event that gates the route before the temporary ending.

Temporary Ending Gate

Added/kept the current temporary ending after the Merger path.

Current late-stage route is now:

 
Give Up → Delusion → Schism → Merger → Temporary End
 

The temporary ending remains the current end of this stage path.

New Special Stage Events

Added a one-time Fuming stage fake blue screen event.

Added a one-time Hostile stage Terms of Service Violation event.

These are designed as stronger late-stage popup moments without replacing the normal reminder system.

Popup Progression Polish

Improved the UI popup pacing system.

Players who lower their reminder interval, such as setting reminders to every 5 minutes, should now see UI popups more often and progress through popup-based stages faster.

Longer/default reminder intervals still keep the calmer original pacing.

More Stage Lines

Added extra special event lines for:

  • Annoyed
  • Intervention
  • Hostile

These help the middle and late annoyance stages feel less repetitive.

Persistence / Saving

Improved saved state handling for the expanded stage path.

The mod now saves more of the player’s current progress, including:

  • annoyance score
  • current stage
  • Delusion progress
  • Schism progress
  • Merger progress
  • popup interaction counts
  • triggered special events
  • pending special popups
  • temporary ending state
  • per-world/per-server state

Release Note
