Streaming Reminders: The Popup & Escalation Update V2.0

Added

  • Added a full popup response UI with DONE / LATER / IGNORE
  • Added an annoyance escalation ladder with stages:
    • NEUTRAL
    • SKEPTICAL
    • ANNOYED
    • FUMING
    • INTERVENTION
    • HOSTILE
    • GIVE_UP
  • Added stage-based status text, flavor text, response pools, popup behavior, sound behavior, and prefix takeover
  • Added session milestone reminders at 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes
  • Added long-session reminder expansion, including session verdict style lines
  • Added recovery flavor when stepping down from severe stages, including GIVE_UP escape flavor and trust-rebuilding follow-up lines
  • Added category-specific special event reminder pools
  • Added popup hover subtexts driven by stage-aware UI getters for DONE and IGNORE
  • Added config toggles:
    • enable_popup_ui
    • enable_annoyance_system

Changed

  • Popup response UI now stays open until the player responds
  • Added input guard and initial mouse-release arming so gameplay clicks cannot instantly activate popup buttons
  • Popup eligibility now uses proper allowlists for NORMAL / SPECIAL / LONG_SESSION / MILESTONE popup reminders
  • Popup timing is now gated by session length:
    • early session remains chat-only
    • mid session unlocks restrained popup chance
    • later session unlocks full popup behavior
  • DONE / LATER / IGNORE now meaningfully affect annoyance score and popup pressure
  • Button presentation now changes by stage:
    • DONE becomes more emphasized
    • LATER becomes smaller / weaker / guiltier
    • IGNORE becomes more hostile
  • Higher stages can require hold-to-ignore
  • HOSTILE stage can dodge IGNORE
  • FUMING stage can dodge LATER
  • Popup visuals now have stronger stage identity, including pulsing / shaking / duller late-stage presentation
  • Popup text wrapping and placement were improved so longer reminders/status lines fit more cleanly
  • Popup-only reminders are no longer duplicated into chat when the popup is used

  • Expanded special-event reminder pool

  • Added soft anti-near-duplicate filtering to reduce repeated joke clusters

Intervention flow

  • Added a one-time Intervention Confirm popup
  • The intervention confirm no longer resets just because the stage changes
  • It is now consumed only when the player actually answers the confirm popup
  • Once used, it will not keep reappearing later

UI polish

  • DONE and IGNORE hover subtexts now show dynamic stage-aware hover text
  • FUMING LATER intentionally keeps the fixed hover text:
    • “really?”
