StoryModeStuff is a Forge mod that brings items, weapons, armor, blocks, recipes, and other content inspired by Minecraft spin-offs and Minecraft: Story Mode into Minecraft Java Edition.

This project is a modern port of the original StoryModeStuff mod for Minecraft 1.17.1, bringing its content forward to newer versions of Forge.

THE FORMIDI BOMB

Yes, the Formidi Bomb actually works!

It isn't just a decorative block. It can be activated and creates an absolutely enormous explosion.

You have been warned.

Maybe don't test it next to the house you spent six hours building.

RECIPES

The port includes crafting recipes for the mod's major items.

Some recipes were updated for newer Minecraft versions, and recipes were added for some items that previously weren't practical to obtain in survival.

SUPPORTED VERSIONS

• Minecraft 1.18.2 - Forge
• Minecraft 1.19.4 - Forge
• Minecraft 1.20.1 - Forge
• Minecraft 26.2 - Forge (currently being tested)

IMPORTANT: Each Minecraft version has its own file. Make sure you download the file made specifically for your version of Minecraft.

ABOUT THIS PORT

The original StoryModeStuff mod was made for Minecraft 1.17.1.

This project ports the mod to newer versions of Minecraft while trying to preserve the original content and idea.

Minecraft and Forge have changed significantly since 1.17.1, so some systems had to be recreated or updated to work correctly on modern versions.

MOD LOADER

Forge only.

Fabric and NeoForge versions are not currently planned.

FAQ

Q: What Minecraft versions does this support?

A: Currently Minecraft 1.18.2, 1.19.4, and 1.20.1 on Forge. Minecraft 26.2 support is currently being tested.

Q: Does the Formidi Bomb actually work?

A: Yes.

And unless you have a strong emotional attachment to the surrounding landscape, you may want to test it somewhere far away.

Q: Why isn't Minecraft 26.2 fully released yet?

A: Minecraft and Forge changed considerably in 26.2. The port exists, but I'm keeping it in testing until I'm satisfied that everything works correctly.

Q: Will you make a Fabric version?

A: No plans right now.

Q: Will you make a NeoForge version?

A: No plans right now. I'd rather spend that time improving and adding features to the Forge versions.

Q: Why are there separate downloads for each Minecraft version?

A: Different Minecraft versions use different Forge and Minecraft code. Download the file specifically marked for your Minecraft version.

Q: Is this the original Minecraft 1.17.1 mod?

A: No. This is a modern port of StoryModeStuff. The original mod was made for Minecraft 1.17.1 by Cosmic.

Q: Why were some recipes changed or added?

A: Some old recipe formats no longer work correctly in newer Minecraft versions, and some items did not have practical survival recipes. These were updated so the content can actually be used.
