Description
Steam Advantage 3
Put steam to work in your workshop. Steam Advantage 3 brings DrCyano's steam-powered industry to Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge, as an expansion for Power Advantage Revived.
What it adds
- Four ways to make steam. Supply water to a solid-fuel, electric, geothermal, or oil-fired boiler. Run steam pipes to your machines, buffer the supply with a tank, and shut off branches with redstone-controlled valves.
- Workshop machinery. Smelt in a three-lane furnace, crush materials using MMDLib recipes, pump source fluids, or turn crude oil into refined oil in a steam still.
- Mining and lifts. Set a steam drill to mine in the direction it faces and lay steam track for it to move along. Use a redstone-controlled steam elevator to move between floors.
- A musket and its ammunition. Load a black-powder cartridge before firing, and enchant the musket with options such as Rapid Reload or High Explosive.
Getting started
Feed water and furnace fuel to a coal boiler, then run a steam pipe to a tank. Once you've built up a supply, connect a rock crusher to give it a load. To try a geothermal setup instead, place the boiler next to lava or magma and give it time to heat up.
Some recipes need materials such as brass, steel, and metal plates, rods, or gears. Bring a compatible metals mod or data pack that supplies those ingredient tags. The required libraries do not supply every ingredient.
Requirements and world compatibility
- Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge 21.1.265 or later in the 21.1 series.
- Power Advantage Revived and MMDLib 2.0 for NeoForge. Install Power Advantage Revived's dependencies too, including MMD OreSpawn.
Start a new world. Steam Advantage 3 does not automatically migrate old Steam Advantage saves. It is built for Power Advantage Revived, not the original Power Advantage 2.x or basePower.
Original mod by DrCyano. The rewrite is by DShadowWolf and Minecraft Mod Development.
