What's new

Added:

  • Blaster Inspection (V) — hold a blaster in first person and press V to bring the

weapon up close. The world behind your hands blurs, your cursor is released, and

hovering a part of the gun highlights it. Works with the main hand, the off hand,

or both at once while dual wielding.

  • Modular Blaster Parts — left-click a sight, scope, magazine or stock while

inspecting to hide or restore it. Disabled parts show as a red ghost so you can

click them back on; enabled parts highlight green. Purely cosmetic for now —

hiding a scope or stock does not change how the gun shoots.

  • Blaster Skins in inspect — left-clicking the core of the RT-97C cycles between

its default and denim skins. Other blasters get skins later.

  • Per-gun appearance memory — part visibility and skin are saved on that individual

blaster. Swap hands, stash it in a chest, drop it, leave the world or restart the

server: it looks the same when you come back.

  • Blaster impact marks — every bolt that hits a block or a mob leaves a small

animated energy scorch at the point of impact that plays once and fades after a

second. Marks on a mob or a vehicle ride along with it as it moves and turns.

  • Tusken camps — Tuskens now have homes. Out in the Tatooine dune sea and up on the

canyon heights you'll find camps of two to four domed huts around a sand clearing

with a fire pit, bone piles and skull totems. Two Tuskens live in each hut and one

or two more — often an Elder — keep watch outside by the fire.

  • Tusken camp loot — every hut holds a chest with supplies and a blaster, usually a

DL-18 and occasionally a Cycler. Clearing a camp means taking cycler fire from

several huts at once; the Tuskens who lived there don't come back.

  • Busy village streets — Tatooine village roads now have people on them. Town

centers carry five street spots, crossings four, and straights/corners/termini

three each, filling with Jawas, Rodians, Zabraks, Trandoshans and the occasional

Astromech or C3PO. No two villages look the same.

  • Imperial village garrisons — every Tatooine village is now garrisoned. The town

center always has a Sandtrooper Captain and three Sandtroopers on the plaza, and

every road crossing, corner and terminus has a 50% chance of another Sandtrooper

standing watch. They won't start a fight, but shoot one and the whole garrison

    answers.

Changed:

  • All twelve blasters rebuilt — every blaster model was re-authored into named

parts so it can be inspected and modified. The five newest guns are no longer

    placeholder models.

  • The crosshair and heat HUD hide themselves while you're inspecting a blaster, and

both hands ease back into their normal pose when you exit.

  • New "Inspect Blaster" keybind (default V) under the SWBB category in

Options > Controls, alongside the existing three — all rebindable.

  • Tusken camps never generate next to a Tatooine village, so a town won't have a

    raider camp on its doorstep.

  • Sandtroopers and Sandtrooper Captains now appear in Tatooine villages as well as

    in desert patrols.
