Description
SpiritTrace
Never lose track of a Vault Spirit again.
SpiritTrace shows the owning player's name above each Vault Hunters spirit and changes Jade's generic Vault Spirit label to PlayerName's Spirit. When Xaero's Minimap is installed, players can track their own spirit, all spirits, or hide spirit waypoints completely.
Features
- Player names above Vault Spirits
- Correct player-specific labels in Jade
- Optional Xaero's Minimap waypoints
- Persistent
Own Spirit,All Spirits, andOffwaypoint modes Ctrl+Omode shortcut, rebindable under Controls- Current-dimension waypoint filtering
- Waypoints follow spirits while they move or are carried
- Server-authoritative tracking across unloaded chunks and restarts
- Graceful client-only fallback on servers without SpiritTrace
- No permanent entries added to normal Xaero waypoint files
Installation
Install the same JAR on your client for names and waypoints.
- Singleplayer: Install it on the client. The integrated server automatically provides persistent, authoritative tracking.
- Multiplayer with client and server installed: Waypoints include spirits in unloaded or unseen chunks.
- Client-only multiplayer: Names work normally, while waypoints cover spirits observed during the current connection.
- Server only: The server records locations for modded clients, and clients without SpiritTrace can still join.
When installed on both sides, the server and modded clients must use the same SpiritTrace version. A client-only installation can still join servers without SpiritTrace.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.18.2
- Forge 40.3.11
- Vault Hunters
Optional integrations
- Xaero's Minimap 25.2.10 for waypoints
- Jade 5.3.1 or 5.3.2 for player-specific spirit labels
