Core Gameplay Loop

Step 1: Soul Discovery

Slay mobs using the Ensoulment enchantment to collect Faint Soul Fragments.
Combine them into your first soul-charged resources.

Step 2: Soul Containment

Craft Empty Soul Jars and capture mob souls during combat.
Each jar stores the essence required for processing.

Step 3: Soul Tokens

Use the Soul Infuser to bind captured souls into Soul Tokens.
Each token defines what type of loot your grinder will produce.

Step 4: Soul Processing

Build the Soul Grinder multiblock.
Insert Soul Tokens to generate mob-specific loot over time — based on soul type and tier.

Step 5: Better & Bigger

Stronger mobs drop higher-tier Soul Fragments.
Use them to craft advanced Tokens and expand your grinder’s efficiency and range.

Step 6: Upgrades

Progress from a simple starter grinder to the massive Tier 5 Soul Grinder.
Each tier unlocks new token types, loot tables, and improved processing speed.

Why I Made This Mod

Most “soul” or mob-grinding mods are either too easy, too dependent on specific mod APIs, or break outside their ecosystem.
Soul Grinder was built to be universal — it works with any mod that adds mobs, without compatibility patches.

It reads loot tables, letting it process drops from any entity that uses proper loot definitions — vanilla, modded, or custom.

🧾 Note:
Some mobs like the Wither or Ender Dragon use special world-based drop systems and may not normally produce loot through the grinder.

However, this has now been solved with the new SGMobLootConfig system — you can add or override mob loot directly via config files, including boss drops and custom items.
Modpack creators can easily define new loot rules, adjust drop chances, or give unique rewards to any entity!
