Sorting Terminal
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Sounds, animations, a live display and all-new categories.
Sound and effects
Quiet, vanilla-style sounds that stay in the background. Sorting sounds like items dropping into bundles, rising softly with each filled container; big sorts (500+ items) end with a small level-up chime.
Sorted items fly into the containers next to a light trail, chest lids open as they arrive, and a ring of light shows the terminal's range. Almost full containers puff red smoke.
Storage Linker: soft lodestone and respawn anchor sounds, and a beam of light from the container to the monitor. Hold a bound linker to see every linked container glow.
Storage Monitor
Live display: the screen in the world shows your top items, pinned items or the fill level, with a title of your choice ("Display" button).
The screen sleeps when nobody is near and wakes up like an old tube screen. Color it with any dye. Stand right in front of it to hear a very quiet hum.
Every item makes its own fitting sound when you take it out or put it in: blocks sound like themselves, a flint and steel strikes, a bow twangs, gold clinks like gold, amethyst chimes.
The monitor menu opens like a tube screen, with its own power-on sound: a click, a shutter sliding open, a warm hum rising and a soft two-note chime. Totals count up and down, new items glow, and a fill bar shows how full it is.
Middle-click an item to light up the containers that hold it. Double-click takes all that fit, Ctrl+F jumps into the search, and the search and sort order are remembered.
Quality of life
Filter screen: Copy / Paste filters and layouts, and "From Contents" adds everything that is in the container.
Sneak and look at a container to see its filter as a small hologram.
The terminal's container list shows how full each container is.

Categories
13 broad storage categories (Resources, Stone & Rock, Wood, Nature, Farming & Food, Building Blocks, Decoration, Colored Blocks, Redstone & Transport, Tools & Combat, Brewing & Enchanting, Treasure, Utility & Books) and Mob Drops.
63 specific categories, among them Stairs, Slabs, Walls, Cobblestone, Deepslate, Bricks, Nether Blocks, Meat & Fish, Monster Drops, Weapons and Minerals. All old categories stay, and existing filters keep working.
Middle-click a category to see all of its items. Add items to it or take items out of it.
Make your own categories with a name, an icon and your items. They are shared by everyone on the world.
