Sol's Party System v1.2.0 - Invite Overhaul & RPG UI Refresh
Minecraft: 1.16.5
Mod Loader: Forge
Sol's Party System v1.2.0 focuses on improving the party invite experience, upgrading the Party GUI visuals, fixing HUD drag behavior, improving ping marker scaling, and adding better server-side control for party recruitment features.
Highlights
New RPG-Style Invite HUD Cards
Party invites now appear as visual HUD cards during gameplay.
When a player receives a party invite, a new invite card appears on the lower-right side of the screen. This makes invitations easier to notice without needing to constantly check chat.
This gives party invites a cleaner and more immersive RPG-style presentation.
Active Invites Screen Added
A new Active Invites option has been added to the Party Main screen.
This solves the multi-invite hassle where players may want to accept an earlier invite instead of only responding to the latest one.
Players can now view and manage multiple active invites more easily.
Multiple Simultaneous Invites Supported
The server invite system has been upgraded to support multiple active party invites at the same time.
Players are no longer limited to handling only the most recent invite. This improves party recruitment flow, especially on active servers with many players.
Improved Party Command Behavior
The basic invite response commands still work as expected:
/party accept/party deny
These commands will continue to use the latest received invite for quick responses.
Party GUI Restyled
The Party GUI system has been visually refreshed with a stronger ornamental RPG style.
Updated GUI elements include:
- Improved panel framing
- Better visual depth
- RPG-style accents
- Restyled buttons
- Cleaner scroll styling
- More polished screen presentation
This makes the party interface feel more consistent with the RPG-inspired direction of the mod.
Invite All Confirmation Added
The Invite All button now opens a warning confirmation popup before sending invites.
The popup explains that this action will invite all non-party players currently on the server, helping prevent accidental mass invites.
Server Control for Invite All
Server owners can now control how the Invite All feature works.
New command:
/solsparty inviteall_feature <true/false>
Behavior:
- If set to
true, the Invite All feature is available normally. - If set to
false, only OP players can use Invite All. - Non-OP players attempting to use Invite All will be rejected server-side with feedback.
This gives server owners better control over mass invite behavior.
New Party Recruitment Flow
The invite button in Party View now opens a new recruitment flow screen for party leaders.
Available options include:
-
Invite Players
- Opens the existing invite player screen.
-
Player Requests
- Shown only when the party is private.
This makes party recruitment more organized and easier to understand.
Ping Marker Size Normalized
Ping marker circle size is now normalized using the 2x GUI scale as the baseline.
This means ping marker circles should keep their intended visual size instead of becoming too large on higher GUI scales.
This improvement applies to both supported versions.
HUD Free-Drag Fix
Fixed dynamic preview-size clamping for both:
- Party HUD
- Self HUD
HUD movement should now feel much freer across all valid screen regions and should no longer feel incorrectly constrained by wrong preview bounds.
1.16.5 Port Improvements
The 1.16.5 version also received additional marker-related improvements to better match the intended 1.20.1 behavior.
Added and improved:
- Marker visibility model
- Marker sync handling
- Marker visibility toggle packet
- Marker settings toggle
- In-world marker renderer
- Cleaner 2D ping marker labels
- Improved name and distance text behavior
This brings the 1.16.5 version closer to the 1.20.1 marker experience.
Summary
This update is focused on making the party system feel smoother, clearer, and more polished for both players and server owners.
