[Forge] 1.16.5 - v1.0.3
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
v1.0.3
New Content & Progression
Rebalanced Progression Curve
- Player progression has been rebalanced and is now the default progression mode.
- The first level-up now costs 60 EXP, and reaching Level 50 requires 73,500 total EXP instead of 112,670, reducing the overall Leveling grind by roughly 35%.
- Player Level and aptitude-rank requirements have been lowered as well and spread out across all 25 aptitude passives.
Long Progression Mode
- Added
longProgressionModeto the common config for players and servers that prefer the original progression grind. - Enabling it restores the complete legacy:
- Player EXP curve
- Player-Level requirements
- Aptitude-rank requirements for all aptitude passives
- The new balanced progression remains the default.
- Switching progression modes does not reset Player EXP, aptitude allocations, or customized requirement lists.
- Existing earned Player EXP always counts toward whichever progression mode is currently active.
- If enabling Long Progression Mode causes a character to fall below a legacy passive requirement, the now-ineligible passive is removed by the normal rules check and can be purchased again at no aptitude-point cost once the requirement is met.
Aptitude Updates
LUCK - Fortune
- Fortune is now a complete Loot Luck aptitude instead of relying only on Minecraft's limited built-in Luck behavior.
- Fortune can grant one additional full loot-table roll from:
- Chests
- Fishing
- Player-credited mob kills
- Compatible modded loot tables
- Each Fortune rank grants +0.4% bonus-roll chance, reaching 20% at Rank 50.
- Other equipped Loot Luck bonuses contribute to the same shared chance, up to a 50% maximum bonus roll.
- When Sol's Relic System is installed, both mods now share the same Loot Luck roll instead of rolling independently.
- Sol's Leveling System remains fully functional without Relic System and automatically lets Relic System handle the shared roll when its expanded Luck support is available.
Dexterity
- Dexterity now introduces Attack Speed increase by 0.2% per rank, reaching +10% at Rank 50.
- The proportional bonus works consistently across vanilla and compatible modded weapons.
- Attack Speed scaling can be adjusted through the aptitude balance datapack.
Ore Breaker
- Ore Breaker I now allows common stone-family blocks to be harvested with an empty hand.
Interface & Inventory Improvements
Leveling Inventory Tab
- Replaced the old floating Leveling shortcut in Survival and Creative inventories with native Minecraft-style controls.
Survival Inventory
- When Leveling is installed by itself, it now appears on the second tab directly after the player inventory.
- Conflicting modded tabs are moved after the reserved Sol's tabs instead of overlapping them.
Creative Inventory
- When both Sol mods are installed, the Leveling shortcut stacks above the Title System shortcut.
- When used alone, Leveling uses the matching position above Destroy Item.
Leveling Screen Toggle
- The Leveling screen keybind now works as a true toggle.
- Press the configured key once to open the screen and press the same key again to close it.
- This continues working correctly after rebinding the control.
EXP Distribution
- Players who directly contribute to a kill are now always included in its EXP distribution.
- Nearby party members must still satisfy the existing:
- Same-dimension requirement
- Distance requirement
- Activity requirement
- Eligibility rules
Fixes
Death & Respawn
- Fixed the death-related progression reset reported in v1.0.2.
- The following are now preserved correctly through death and respawn on all supported editions:
- Player EXP
- Aptitude allocations
- Purchased passives
- Mastery progress
- Persistent cooldowns
- On Forge, pre-death progression is also retained through a disconnect or server restart before the player respawns.
Dimension Travel & Progression Sync
- Fixed progression sometimes breaking after traveling between dimensions, including the Nether and modded dimensions.
- Mob damage tracking, kill EXP, Mastery progress, and admin Leveling commands now continue functioning without requiring the player to rejoin.
Minecraft 1.16.5 Forge / 1.20.1 Forge
- Fixed Forge invalidating the active player progression capability during dimension travel.
Minecraft 1.16.5 Forge / 1.21.1 NeoForge
- Fixed the Leveling screen becoming stuck on "Loading progression" when the client's profile UUID differs from the server's authoritative UUID, as commonly occurs on offline-mode servers.
- Fixed progression remaining at Level 1 or stuck loading after:
- Dimension travel
- Death
- Revive flows
- Reconnecting while inside another dimension
Player Model
- Fixed opening and closing the Leveling screen leaving the player's head and torso shifted away from the arms and legs until rejoining.
- This also works when damage or death closes the Leveling screen.
- Fixed on:
- Minecraft 1.16.5 Forge
- Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge
- Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge
Inventory Tabs
- Fixed Survival inventory tabs gradually drifting apart, changing order, or overlapping after repeatedly opening the inventory with mods that reuse their tab buttons.
Migration
- No player-data migration is required.
- No configuration reset is required.
- Existing Player EXP, aptitude allocations, Mastery progress, and progression data remain compatible with this update.
