[Forge] 1.16.5 - v1.2.0
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Sol's Damage & HP Indicator v1.2.0
Fixes
- Fixed normal entity health bars jumping up and down after being hit. Health bars should now update smoothly and accurately.
- Hit Counters and floating damage numbers now show the full damage dealt, even when the hit exceeds the target's remaining HP.
- Improved damage progress tracking for more accurate damage percentages in both solo and multiplayer.
- Fixed boss health bars using outdated HP values, making boss HP updates more responsive.
- Improved boss health tracking by using a consistent HP source, preventing conflicting health updates.
- Improved boss damage contribution tracking, including better handling of overkill and bosses with multiple or layered health pools.
- Normal entity health cards now remain visible for 3 seconds after damaging an entity, even if it moves outside your crosshair. Entities you're currently looking at still take priority.
NEW: Global Player Damage
- Added Global Players damage numbers. You can now see nearby players' floating damage numbers without affecting your own Hit Counter, combo, or damage progress.
- Global Players is enabled by default and automatically limits the number of displayed effects during crowded fights to help maintain performance.
- Added a configurable viewing range for Global Players, set to 32 blocks by default to prevent distant fights from cluttering your screen.
NEW: Boss & Elite Loot
-
Added automatic boss and elite loot ownership. By default, one eligible damage contributor receives the boss's complete standard loot bundle, with the highest-ranked contributor being selected.
-
Added configurable loot distribution modes:
- Highest Damage - Rewards the player who dealt the most damage.
- Damage Weighted - Gives players a chance based on their damage contribution.
- Rank Weighted - Gives higher-ranked contributors better chances.
- Equal Chance - Gives each eligible top-ranked contributor an equal chance.
-
Bosses with health bars are detected automatically. Health-barless elites, such as the Warden, can be added through configurable entity rules.
-
Improved loot protection with minimum contribution requirements, online/nearby winner checks, overflow protection, and safeguards against duplicate loot distribution.
-
Boss and elite loot is now transferred as one complete bundle, with the selected winner receiving priority. If their inventory cannot hold it, the system tries the next eligible damage contributor.
-
If nobody can receive the complete loot bundle, the original drops remain at the boss. The selected winner has exclusive access to those drops for 10 seconds before they become available to other players.
-
Fixed health-scaled vanilla mobs being incorrectly treated as elites. Skeletons, Zombies, and other ordinary mobs will no longer have their normal drops reassigned simply because they have increased health.
⚙️ Configuration
-
Improved the
[bossloot]configuration layout. Options are now organized in a more intuitive setup order, starting withenabledandselectionMode. -
Existing configuration files are updated automatically without changing your configured values or comments.
-
Boss and elite entity rules now support exact IDs and wildcards. For example:
minecraft:zombiemodid:entity_name*for multiple characters?for a single character
-
Excluded entities always take priority over included entities, automatic boss-bar detection, and health detection.
-
Server configuration has moved from each world's
serverconfigfolder to:config/solsdmghpindicator-server.toml -
This means server settings are now easier to find and remain consistent across different worlds.
Important for existing servers: If you customized the previous world-specific server configuration, launch v1.2.0 once to generate the new configuration file, then copy your previous settings from
<world>/serverconfig/solsdmghpindicator-server.tomlinto the newconfig/solsdmghpindicator-server.toml.
🌐 Multiplayer
- For accurate multiplayer damage progress, the same mod version should be installed on both the server and client.
- Client-only damage tracking remains available, but may be less accurate.
- Global Player floating damage numbers require v1.2.0 on both the server and the clients viewing the damage numbers.
