1.6.0 - Beneath and Beyond (1.21.8)

A new rupture opens in the Dimensional Diamond. One path drags downward into the fractured geometry beneath reality. Another path rises upward into a sculkborn sky above the End. Between these extremes, new shores appear, and a quiet sea begins whispering of something unwritten.

Beneath and Beyond expands the identity of every deep-realm you have discovered so far, giving each dimension new secrets, new materials, and new connections to the Dimensional Web.

This is the biggest expansion so far.

FAR BELOW - NEW DIMENSION

Unlocked by: Key of the Far Below
How to enter: Right-click the Key anywhere inside the End Void layer.

The Far Below is a cold, fractured valley suspended between geometry and geology, where the ground itself looks confused about whether it should exist.

Biome: Fractured Expanse

Features:

Fractaline Ore
A glassy white-purple mineral shaped like shattered mirrors.
Drops: Fractaline Splinters (common), Fractaline Crystal (rare).
Uses: Crystal crafting, Fractaline Glass, and future Fractaline Skills in update 1.7.0.

Riftrock
Stone cracked and warped by Rift energy.
Drops: 1-5 Riftrock Shards.
Craft: 9 shards into a Riftrock Block.

Sunkenaqua (new fluid)
Effect: Touching it gives Rift Sickness.

SCULKBOUND HEIGHTS - NEW DIMENSION

Unlocked by: Key of the Sculk
How to enter: Right-click the Key on a Reinforced Deepslate Portal frame.

This is not a deeper layer. It is a sideways plane, existing parallel to the End, where sculk did not crawl downward but instead blossomed upward into a sky full of glowing roots and drifting structures.

Biomes:
Sculkbound biome family (floating platforms, blue haze, ambient vibrations).

Blocks:

Heightstone
A pale stone lined with shifting sculk veins.
Pulses faintly near sound.

Sculk Dust Block
Powdery teal block that falls, collapses, and can be used for brewing and dust clouds.

Mob: Sculk Lurker
A crouched, stalking creature that listens for movement and attacks when hearing sound.

END EXPANSION - NEW BIOME

Warped Shores

The coastline of the End, where dimensional winds have stripped the color from the stone and replaced it with warped blue tones.

Warped End Stone
A blue variant of End Stone with a shifting tint.
Used in crafting higher-tier dimensional items, including the Key of the Unwritten.

ABYSSAL DEPTHS - NEW BIOME

Unwritten Sea

A light ocean with drifting glyph particles and soft echoes that sound like half-finished words.
A teaser for the Unwritten Realm.

Contains:

• Blankstone - a new block found here
• Components for the Key of the Unwritten
• Atmospheric anomalies that hint at something deeper coming soon
