The Key Expansion Update - 1.21.1

“You’ve mastered the Void, conquered the Depths, and braved the Abyss… but now, cracks are forming between worlds.”

This update expands the Key system into a full-fledged interdimensional network, linking every corner of the Minecraft multiverse through mysterious Rift energy.

New Keys

Key of the Overworld

• Teleport safely home from any realm.
• Same as any Key, 128 uses.

Key of the Nether

• Travel instantly to the fiery Nether.
• Must visit the Nether at least once before activation.
• 128 uses.

Key of the Far Below (currently sealed)

• Crafted using 1 Key Blueprint + 8 Rift Crystals.

• When activated, the screen displays the message:
  “The Rift has not yet opened…”

• This is your first glimpse of the Far Below dimension, coming in v1.6.0.

New Materials

Rift Crystal

• Dropped from the Abyssal Lurker - glowing shards of unstable dimensional energy.
• Used in crafting high-tier Keys and other Rift-related items in future updates.

Expanded Abyssal Depths

• Terrain now generates more like the Nether, forming caverns, open pockets, and eerie coral structures.
• Abyssal Coral now grows on the ceiling above bedrock and never dries out.

New Void Foods

• Void Wheat - corrupted crop crafted with Wheat + Void Dust.
• Void Bread - now edible and energizing in the Void and Underdepths.
• Void Beef and Void Steak - drops from Void Cows.
• Shadow Beef and Shadow Steak - drops from Shadow Cows found deeper below.

New Materials and Blocks

• Abyssal Essence, Abyssal Core, and Abyssal Ingot - advanced crafting materials derived from the sea’s Rift energy.
• Aquaslate Core - new decorative and power-related block, soon to be used for purification and stabilization recipes.
• Rift Crystals - glowing relics of collapsing dimensions.

What’s Next?

The Rift is unstable. Strange crystals are surfacing in every realm, humming with energy that doesn’t belong to this world.
In Update 1.6.0, these Keys will finally open the way to something... new.
