Smart FPS Boost
Other FPS mods make your game uglier all the time. Smart FPS Boost only steps in when your FPS actually drops - and only fixes what is causing it.
How it works
- Your FPS drops below your target (default 45) for a few seconds.
- Smart FPS Boost looks around you and finds the cause.
- It fixes only that:
- Huge dropped item pile - hides far and extra items and XP orbs
- Mob farm - hides far mobs (32+ blocks)
- Wall of item frames / armor stands - hides the far ones
- Particle storm (TNT, farms, modded effects) - drops far and extra particles
- Nothing obvious - lowers render distance by 2 for a while
- When FPS is good again for 30 seconds, it puts everything back, one fix at a time.
You keep full graphics when you don't need the help, and get the frames back when you do.
Good to know
- Client-side - works on any server, single player and Realms.
- Works together with Sodium, Lithium and Entity Culling.
- Hidden things are only not drawn - you can still pick up items and mobs still work.
- Named or glowing entities are never hidden.
- Your render distance is always given back - even if you quit while it is lowered.
Commands and settings
- /smartfps - see your FPS, what is active right now, and what is around you
- Press J (mosko's lib) to change:
- Mode: Smart / Always / Off
- Target FPS
- Allow lowering render distance, and the lowest value
- Show messages above the hotbar
