This license applies to Smart Backpacks, including its source code, compiled files, textures, models, sounds, artwork, documentation, and other original assets created for the project.

1. PERSONAL USE

You may download, install, and use Smart Backpacks for personal use.

You may modify the mod privately for your own personal use, provided the modified version is not distributed, published, or shared publicly.

2. MODPACKS

You may include the official, unmodified Smart Backpacks release in public or private Minecraft modpacks.

You do not need to request permission for normal modpack inclusion.

The mod must remain credited to SmartStreamLabs.

Whenever possible, modpacks should obtain Smart Backpacks from its official distribution page rather than rehosting the file independently.

3. SERVERS

Smart Backpacks may be used on public, private, commercial, and community Minecraft servers.

Server access, donations, ranks, subscriptions, or other server monetization are allowed provided that Smart Backpacks itself is not sold or falsely represented as being created by the server owner.

4. VIDEOS AND STREAMING

You may create and monetize videos, livestreams, screenshots, tutorials, reviews, showcases, and other content featuring Smart Backpacks.

Credit is appreciated but is not required for ordinary gameplay content.

5. REDISTRIBUTION

You may NOT redistribute, reupload, mirror, or republish Smart Backpacks as a standalone download without explicit permission from SmartStreamLabs.

This includes uploading the original JAR to another mod hosting website, file hosting service, marketplace, or download page.

Official Smart Backpacks files should be obtained from an official SmartStreamLabs distribution source.

6. MODIFIED BUILDS, FORKS, AND PORTS

You may NOT publicly distribute modified builds of Smart Backpacks without explicit permission from SmartStreamLabs.

You may NOT publish unofficial ports, forks, continuations, backports, or renamed versions of Smart Backpacks as separate downloadable projects without explicit permission.

Publicly forking source code through functionality provided by a source hosting platform does not by itself grant permission to distribute compiled or modified releases.

Pull requests and contributions to the official project are allowed and welcomed where the repository permits them.

7. SOURCE CODE AND ASSETS

Access to the Smart Backpacks source code does not grant unrestricted permission to copy or reuse it in another project.

You may create addons, integrations, compatibility mods, plugins, and extensions for Smart Backpacks as permitted under Section 13.

Addons may interact with Smart Backpacks through its public APIs, events, tags, capabilities, data components, documented integration points, or other intended extension mechanisms.

You may NOT copy substantial portions of Smart Backpacks source code into another mod or software project without explicit permission from SmartStreamLabs.

You may NOT reuse Smart Backpacks textures, models, artwork, icons, sounds, branding, or other original assets in another project without explicit permission.

Small code examples, API usage, and code necessary to interface with Smart Backpacks are permitted where reasonably required for addon or compatibility development.

Creating an addon does not grant permission to redistribute or bundle the Smart Backpacks JAR itself.

8. COMMERCIAL USE

You may NOT sell Smart Backpacks itself.

You may NOT sell modified copies, unofficial ports, redistributed downloads, source code, textures, models, or other Smart Backpacks assets.

You may NOT place Smart Backpacks itself behind a paid download or access requirement.

Normal monetization of Minecraft servers, modpacks, videos, streams, and other content that merely uses Smart Backpacks is allowed.

9. CREDIT AND REPRESENTATION

You may not claim Smart Backpacks or its original content as your own work.

When redistributing Smart Backpacks in a situation explicitly permitted by this license, the original authorship must remain attributed to:

You may not imply that an unofficial project, modification, service, or product is officially endorsed by SmartStreamLabs unless permission has been granted.

10. PERMISSION AND EXCEPTIONS

SmartStreamLabs may grant additional permissions or exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

Permission granted to one person or project does not automatically apply to others.

SmartStreamLabs reserves the right to release future versions of Smart Backpacks under different licensing terms.

11. DISCLAIMER

Smart Backpacks is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind.

SmartStreamLabs is not responsible for damages, data loss, corrupted worlds, server problems, incompatibilities, or other issues resulting from use of the software.

Use of Smart Backpacks is at your own risk.

Smart Backpacks is an independent community-made project.

13. ADDONS AND COMPATIBILITY MODS

You may create and publicly distribute addons, compatibility mods, integrations, extensions, and plugins for Smart Backpacks.

These projects are allowed provided that:

- They require the official Smart Backpacks mod as a dependency where appropriate.
- They do not redistribute or bundle the Smart Backpacks JAR without permission.
- They do not copy substantial portions of Smart Backpacks source code.
- They do not reuse Smart Backpacks textures, models, artwork, sounds, icons, or other original assets without permission.
- They do not present themselves as an official SmartStreamLabs project unless permission has been granted.
- They clearly state that Smart Backpacks is created by SmartStreamLabs.
- They may use public APIs, documented integration points, events, tags, capabilities, data components, or other intended extension mechanisms provided by Smart Backpacks.

Addons may be open-source or closed-source and may be distributed on mod hosting platforms, provided they comply with the terms above.

Compatibility patches and integrations with other mods are also permitted.

If an addon requires copying or modifying substantial Smart Backpacks internal code rather than using its public/integration interfaces, permission from SmartStreamLabs is required.
