Skyseed

A terraforming skyblock mod. Craft a Skyseed, throw it into open air, and ~2 seconds later a procedurally generated, themed sky island germinates where it comes to rest. Progression is driven by exploration + crafting, not block-condensing.

Pre-modpack-release polish from the throw-test pass (SIGNOFFPLAN.md): the crude-oil and Quark-shale tunes, and removal of the portal-twin diagnostic probes. First-party compat data only — inert without the mods, so the golden master is unchanged and both nodes stay green.

Changed

  • Crude oil is findable at any mining depth (→ SIGNOFFPLAN T1). Immersive Petroleum's crudeoil_fluid_block was a single 0.15-chance vein confined to the max_y:8 deepslate band, so it read as "not found" — ~4× rarer than the rarest metal and only near bedrock. It now sits in every band of the IE Rocky islands as a deep_core pocket at chance 0.40 (count 1-2, vein 3-5), and richest in the deepslate band at 0.55 — still lore-appropriate "near bedrock" but no longer a low-throw-only lottery. immersiveengineering_rocky[_large]/immersiveengineering_huge_rocky.json.
  • Quark shale reads in the deepslate core (→ SIGNOFFPLAN B2b). Shale generated but is near-black inside ancient's dark deepslate body, so it was easy to miss. Bumped to chance 0.80 + vein_size 6-10 (was 0.70 + 4-8) — chunkier, more reliable veins — across all three ancient tiers. Vein count stays at base density (OrePlanner scales it to the core volume at runtime, so pre-inflating would over-fill the large/huge cores). quark_ancient[_large]/quark_huge_ancient.json.

Removed

  • The two B4 portal-twin diagnostic probes (the TwinPlacer/Jigsaw LOGGER.info lines). The residual sub-block portal-twin drift is a vanilla portal-linking limitation — the frames still link within vanilla's search radius even when the 8:1 opening is block-exact — and is accepted as-is (→ SIGNOFFPLAN B4); the probes have served their purpose.
