SKYSCAR : ORBITAL STRIKE & FALLOUT - CHANGELOG Minecraft 26.1.2 - Fabric

1.4.2

Added

  • /weather ash_rain [duration]: radioactive ash falls all over the Overworld (flakes, storm clouds, ash layers around the players). /weather clear ash_rain stops it, and the ash storm of the fallout zone you stand in (/weather clear ash_rain all: every zone). The vanilla /weather clear, rain and thunder are left untouched.
  • /orbitalstrike haze clear [all]: removes the grey haze, its dome and the night under it, in the fallout zone you stand in (or in every zone).
  • /orbitalstrike radiation clear [all]: removes the radiation of the fallout zone you stand in (or of every zone); its water no longer grows mutant crops either.
  • Meteorite-proof blocks: a meteorite cannot break lead blocks, lead shielding, obsidian or bedrock, and its blast stops at them: nothing behind a wall of these blocks (crater, fused rock, ejecta, fire, dead trees, ashen grass, the blast on creatures) is touched. Meteorites only.
  • Anti-meteorite dish (new block, animated 3D model): shields the 3x3 chunks around it. A meteorite aimed there is destroyed by the dish's beam high in the sky: no crater, no ash, no haze, no night, no radiation. Only 1 or 2 pieces of debris, pushed away by the beam, fall out of every shielded area (several dishes are all taken into account). Its mast turns slowly, its crystal pulses, and it snaps up to the sky when it fires. Right-click it (anyone, no cheats needed) to see a map of the areas shielded by all the dishes. Temporary recipe: iron ingot, diamond, iron ingot / lead ingot, redstone block, lead ingot / polished blackstone, lead ingot, polished blackstone.
  • /orbitalstrike meteors on|off: turns the natural meteorite falls on or off in the whole world. /orbitalstrike meteors status shows the settings.
  • /orbitalstrike meteors map: a map of the 32x32 chunks around the player (it follows the player). Click or drag over chunks to forbid meteorites there; the areas shielded by dishes are shown too. Needs cheats (operator).
  • With mob griefing off, meteorites no longer damage anything: no crater, no fallout, no blast. They only leave their debris on the ground, so the fragments can still be collected.
  • The grey haze seen from outside: a dome of fog hangs over each fallout zone and hides it from afar (soft edges, thicker near the ground). It fades out as you walk in, where the haze takes over, and thins out with the haze over its 5 days.
  • Radioactive rain: over the Irradiated Wasteland the rain falls green (green splashes too), and standing in it doubles the radiation dose rate.
  • No snow in the radioactive zones: the Irradiated Wasteland is too warm for snow, it only rains there.

Changed

  • The mod is renamed Skyscar : Orbital Strike & Fallout with a new icon in the mod list. The files are renamed too: skyscar-1.4.2.jar (Fabric) and skyscar-neoforge-1.4.2.jar (NeoForge); remove the old orbitalstrike jar when you update. The mod id stays orbitalstrike: worlds, commands and configs are unchanged.
  • The anti-meteorite dish is shown with its 3D model in the inventory, in the hand and on the ground.
  • The night under the grey haze falls more gently (about 12 seconds from day to night).
  • The dome of haze is only drawn when the zone is within your render distance (it was visible from much too far away).
  • A real night under the grey haze: inside the haze the time of day shifts to midnight on your screen (the sky, stars, moon and daylight all follow), with or without shader packs. The server time is untouched. This replaces the dark veil drawn over shader packs.
  • Radioactive Zombie, second stage: once it drops under half health it stays a little faster than a normal zombie (speed 0.26, zombie 0.23) for the rest of the fight, on top of the 10 seconds of strength.
  • Baby Radioactive Zombie: faster (0.38, a vanilla baby zombie 0.35), and its pounce aims where the player is going, so it catches a running player.
  • Every radioactive mutant has a third more health than its vanilla monster: zombie, zombie villager, skeleton and creeper 26.7, spider 21.3, enderman 53.3.
  • Radioactive Creeper: its radioactive dust settles on the ground instead of floating up (the Contamination cloud's particles too).

Fixed

  • Blocks thrown out by the radioactive creeper's crater could land on top of trees: the ejecta now lands on the ground only, without gravel, and trees at the crater edge are no longer turned into fused rock.
  • Trees whose trunk was cut at the foot by a crater floated in the air: the trunk and its foliage are now removed, and the crater rim no longer catches fire next to trees (burnt trunks left their tops hanging).
  • The baby radioactive zombie's arms came off its body while it attacked.
