What's new
## 1.3.0
- **New: Rayleigh scattering** (on by default). The haze over distant ranges is now physically based: air scatters
blue light about five times more than red, so nearer ranges turn blue and far ones fade into the horizon; sunlight
is reddened on its way through the air, so the light on the ranges warms as the sun goes down; and the haze is
brighter towards and away from the sun. Worked out in linear light with the real coefficients, in an atmosphere
that thins with height (high peaks are clearer than valleys). *Atmosphere thickness* sets how much thicker than
real air it is (Minecraft's distances are about a tenth of real mountain views, so real air would barely show).
Turn it off for the previous plain haze.
- **New (experimental): extend down** (off by default). From high up, the edge of the loaded world lies far below the
distant ranges, leaving a gap of empty haze in between. With this on, hazy land, coloured from the biomes out there,
runs from the edge of the world to the foot of the ranges and on to the horizon. It fades out exactly where the
world's own fog takes over, so there's no seam. Find it under *Experimental*. (The infinite ocean and sea of clouds
fill the same space when they're on.)
