Skill System
- Added 7 independent skills: Mining, Farming, Foraging, Strength, Archery, Fishing, Health
- Each skill has its own XP pool and level (1–20)
- All skills start at level 1
- Incremental XP curve using
100 × level^1.586formula - Levels 15–19 use hardcoded XP values for a smoother late-game progression:
- 15→16: 1,458 XP
- 16→17: 1,958 XP
- 17→18: 2,458 XP
- 18→19: 2,958 XP
- 19→20: 3,458 XP
Mining
- Grants XP for breaking stone, ores and minerals with a pickaxe
- XP scales with ore rarity (coal → diamond/emerald)
- Ancient Debris grants the highest mining XP (30)
- Restricts pickaxe tier by level (wood/stone/iron/diamond/netherite)
Farming
- Grants XP for breaking crops, soil, dirt and farmland with a hoe or shovel
- Passive global XP multiplier bonus for all skills:
- Level 5: +6.25%
- Level 10: +12.5%
- Level 15: +18.75%
- Level 20: +25%
- Restricts hoe and shovel tier by level
Foraging
- Grants XP for breaking logs, leaves, planks and wooden structures with an axe
- Logs grant more XP than leaves and planks
- Restricts axe tier by level
Strength
- Grants XP for dealing melee damage with swords and axes
- Axes used as weapons require Strength (same tier as swords)
- Axes used for block breaking only require Foraging
- If Strength level is too low, sword/axe deals zero damage to entities
- Restricts sword tier by level
Archery
- Grants XP for hitting mobs with arrows
- Normal arrows always usable
- Spectral arrows require Archery level 10
- Tipped arrows (potion effect) require Archery level 15
- Shooting a restricted arrow type is silently blocked — arrow stays in inventory
Fishing
- Grants XP based on what you catch:
- Junk: 2 XP
- Fish: 8 XP
- Enchanted books: 25 XP
- Treasure books (Soul Speed, Swift Sneak, Wind Burst, Breach): 60 XP
- Loot unlocks by level:
- Level 1–4: junk only
- Level 5: fish
- Level 10: enchanted books
- Level 15: rare treasure enchantment books
- Level 20: increased fish and slightly more common treasure books
- Loot above your level is silently downgraded
Health
- Grants XP for regenerating hearts after taking damage
- Restricts armor tier by level:
- Level 1: Leather, Chainmail
- Level 5: Copper, Gold
- Level 10: Iron
- Level 15: Diamond
- Level 20: Netherite
- Armor above your level is automatically unequipped and returned to inventory
UI
Skill Screen (K)
- Press K to open the skill progress screen
- Shows all 7 skills with current level, XP progress bar and XP needed for next level
- Gold bar and "Mastered!" text when a skill reaches level 20
- Screen requests a fresh sync from the server every time it opens
Item Tooltips
- All restricted items show their skill requirements in the tooltip
- Green ✔ if you meet the requirement, red ✘ if you do not
Technical
- Skill data saved to player NBT — persists across restarts and rejoins
- Server syncs skill data to client on join and after every skill change
- Client requests a fresh sync every time the skill screen is opened
- Fully server-side enforced — mod required on both client and server in multiplayer
- Compatible with Fabric API 0.153.0+ for MC 26.1.2
Known Limitations
- Copper armor support depends on whether a copper armor mod is installed
- No config file — all values are hardcoded in this version
- MC 26.1.2 only — no support for older versions in this release
