Simple Storage Network Legacy — Initial Beta

Initial public beta release of the legacy Simple Storage Network ports.

Added

• Added support for Minecraft 1.6.4, 1.7.10, and 1.8.9.
• Ported the core Simple Storage Network system from the 1.12.2 legacy implementation.
• Added Network Masters, cables, storage links, import/export cables, processing cables, request/storage terminals, and Network Controllers.
• Added searchable network storage with insertion, extraction, and crafting support.
• Added support for vanilla and modded IInventory / ISidedInventory inventories.
• Added storage priorities, filters, whitelist/blacklist modes, metadata matching, Ore Dictionary matching, and NBT matching.
• Added Speed, Slow, Stack, Single, Stock, and Operation upgrades.
• Added Storage, Picker, and Collector remotes.
• Added remote hotkey support.
• Added cable facades using legacy block ID/metadata storage.

Fixed / Preserved

• Preserved the modern fix preventing the same inventory from being counted multiple times when connected through multiple storage links.
• Double chests are treated as one underlying inventory even when both halves have separate links.
• Added safer partial-transfer handling to prevent rejected items from being silently deleted.
• Added loaded-only network discovery to avoid forcing chunks to remain loaded.
• Added defensive legacy NBT handling for saved network state.

Known Beta Differences

• JEI/NEI recipe transfer integration is not currently included.
• Baubles, Compact Machines, FastWorkbench, and Patchouli integrations are not included.
• The legacy GUI preserves functionality but does not exactly reproduce the 1.12 layout.
• Complex facade collision shapes may differ on 1.6.4 and 1.7.10.
• This is not a 1.12.2 world downgrade or migration tool.

Testing

Core cable and storage-link behavior has been tested successfully on Minecraft 1.7.10, including multiple links to single and double chests without duplicated inventory counts.

Further gameplay and multiplayer testing is ongoing during the beta period.
