Simple Storage Network Legacy brings the Simple Storage Network experience to older Forge versions of Minecraft.
This project is based on the 1.12.2 legacy codebase and ports its core functionality backward to:
- Minecraft 1.6.4
- Minecraft 1.7.10
- Minecraft 1.8.9
Create a centralized storage network by connecting inventories to a Network Master with cables and storage links. Network terminals can search, insert, extract, and craft using items stored across connected inventories.
The legacy ports include:
- Network Masters and cable-based storage networks
- Storage links for chests and modded inventories
- Correct handling of multiple links to the same inventory
- Double-chest deduplication
- Import and export automation
- Processing cables
- Network Controller support
- Searchable storage/request interfaces
- Storage, picker, and collector remotes
- Remote hotkey support
- Priority and filter controls
- Whitelist and blacklist filtering
- Metadata, Ore Dictionary, and NBT matching
- Cable facades
- Updated cable and pipe textures
- All six supported upgrades:
- Speed
- Slow
- Stack
- Single
- Stock
- Operation
- Sided inventory support
- Persistent configuration and network state
- Support for modded inventories using standard legacy inventory APIs
The ports use native legacy Forge inventory systems instead of depending on newer capability APIs, allowing the mod to integrate naturally with the older modded Minecraft ecosystem.
Only Minecraft and Forge are required. Optional integrations from newer versions such as JEI, Baubles, Compact Machines, FastWorkbench, and Patchouli are not required for core functionality.
