Simple Schematics 0.4.1
Added
- Server setting
schematicSending: choose who may send schematics to the server. The values areeveryone(the default, same as before),operators(permission level 2) ornobody.- The setting covers Materials (including the shopping list and Inspect build), Survival Build, Creative Paste and printer binding.
- Loading and previewing schematics never send anything, whatever the setting.
- Blocked players see those buttons greyed out, with a tooltip saying why. The server refuses them anyway.
- Builds already running, and printers already bound, keep working.
- A misspelt value counts as
operatorsand is logged. The log also records the setting in effect each time the server starts.
- New permanent security tests on all four loaders. They feed broken, oversized and crafted schematics and packets to the server, and check that each is refused with nothing left behind.
Changed
- Changing construction settings, loading a placement slot or saving a world rule no longer starts a Materials check, which sends the schematic to the server, unless you are already using one.
- The wiki now explains exactly what the server receives, and when.
Updating
- Install 0.4.1 on both client and server. 0.4.0 and 0.4.1 do not connect to each other. Fabric requires Fabric API.
- Fabric servers that ran 0.4.0 keep their old
serverconfig/simpleschematics-server.properties. To use the new setting, add a line such asschematicSending=operators. NeoForge and Forge add it to their config file automatically.
