Simple Schematics 0.2.0
Added
- Schematic Printer: a redstone-powered schematic press with a custom Blockbench model, blueprint scroll, crank, redstone crystal and miniature block build.
- Craft the printer with four iron ingots in the corners, four redstone dust along the edges and a crafting table in the centre. Place it to become its owner, select a schematic in the Library, and bind it in the printer settings.
- Choose a single print, repeat at one target, or advance by configurable X/Y/Z spacing after each completed print. A redstone pulse starts the selected mode. Fixed repeats wait until the target changes before spending more materials.
- Printer builds use nearby containers and preserve the player's inventory. Owner controls include Start, Pause, Resume and Stop. Cleanly reloaded builds retain paid progress and wait for owner Resume. Ambiguous interrupted operations retain their journals for Recovery inspection before they can continue.
- Printer jobs retain controller ownership, payment records and completion identity through pauses, chunk unloading and restarts, including completion recorded before the controller checkpoint catches up.
- Wiki links in-game: Wiki opens the new building guide; Help in Rules opens its beginner walkthrough.
- Expanded wiki guides with worked rule examples, material and saved-data explanations, printer setup and troubleshooting.
Improved
- Readable action labels, consistent button widths and spacing, and Minecraft sprites supporting wider buttons. Dense control groups use words throughout; pagination uses arrows.
- The printer power indicator uses Minecraft’s lit or unlit redstone torch sprite, with its state available in the tooltip and narration.
- Improved narrow-screen layouts, including full saved-data choice labels and clear heading spacing in Substitutions.
- Printer selection and collision follow the press's cabinet, frame and controls. Its open frame no longer hides adjacent block faces.
Fixed
- Changed the default Schematics / Settings key from K to V to avoid Iris's shader-toggle shortcut.
Updating
- Install the JAR matching your Minecraft version and loader. Use the same Simple Schematics version on clients and servers.
- Existing Controls settings may keep K after updating. Rebind Schematics / Settings to V or another unused key if necessary.
- Before upgrading, finish or cancel builds and settle any owed returns while still on the old version, then back up your world and update. Unfinished jobs can enter Recovery when the recorded mod environment changes; automatic cross-version job migration is not promised.
- To downgrade, restore a pre-upgrade world backup. Older builds do not support the new printer blocks, templates or paid-job records; finishing jobs alone does not make a 0.2.0 world safe to load with 0.1.0.
- Fabric requires Fabric API. Shader addons are optional; compatible versions are listed in the wiki. OptiFine compatibility remains unconfirmed.
Available for NeoForge 1.21.1, Fabric 1.21.1, Forge 1.20.1 and Fabric 1.20.1.
