This mod is very simple: it adds gravel versions of vanilla and various modded ores that spawn in your world, as a means of gathering such resources without long mining trips. Ores will only register themselves or generate if they exist in other mods -- for example, Copper Gravel Ore will only spawn if you have another mod that adds copper.
The mod is also quite configurable. You can configure ore pile size, ore pile frequency, blacklist certain ores from generating, and modify the generation weights of different ores.
Currently supported ores:
- Iron
- Coal
- Redstone
- Gold
- Lapis
- Diamond
- Emerald
- Copper
- Tin
- Silver
- Lead
- Nickel
- Aluminum
In addition, more ores can be added using the config file.

Yes, the ores are oredicted, so they should work in recipes from any mod that requires an ore
Hey, do you know why TC2 devs didn't make a actual port of 1.7.10's TC for newer minecraft versions? It was my favorite mod!! Sadly, they removed a lot of stuff like this feature: the gravel ore. :(
Thanks to epicsquid, elucent and knightminer for this mod btw ^_^

I love that you and your team are keeping this mod alive! Keep it up guys!!
First at all, I'm an old fart from the 1.7.10 era and recently got updated to the 1.12.2 world.
Since I can't leave a comment in the TC2 curseforge page, have a question about TC2: how can I remove the delay to make alloys of the smeltery? I read the config file but sadly I didn't find anything to make it faster...
Let me explain, I feel this new smeltery somewhat...slow, If I throw 2 ores that can combine into an alloy I need to wait a lot for it, and it's quite tedious, it's not instantaneously anymore, is there a way to change this?
I hope you read this dev, If this isn't the correct place to leave suggestions, let me know, I'm new here and interacting with the modder community.

Just want to check before assuming, as I've occasionally been told that a different version works with multiple Minecraft versions... does the 1.11.2 work with 1.10.2?
The mod looks amazing. :) I'm trying to put together a pack, for my own use, that i may in time post if it works out well, once i know more about what I'm doing. I'd really like to add this, if at all possible. It looks really applicable to my mod mix, and I'd love to play with it ^_^ .

I love this mod already... but you know what would be really cool as well?... Sandy Ores and Dirt Ores. :)
hey i got the mod i using the 1.12 version of it and i cant smelt the ores into ingots or into anything at all
In reply to drakosoldier29:
Hi, just letting you know, version 1.5 does not spawn ores no matter what i do to the configs, but version 1.3 works just fine, so you probably shouldn't be putting up version 1.5 as the latest release, just a heads up
EDIT: As I've heard recently from Reddit, the author of this mod, Elucent, is no longer in the modding scene for his mods, which I guess includes this mod, so please take my word: the latest version of this mod does NOT spawn ores. Please downgrade your version if you want ores to still spawn. However, Oredictionary has not been implemented for the ores yet, so I have provided a simple Zenscript for craftweaker to add support so that the ores can be processed with other mods, I.E. Thermal Expansion. Note this also enables smelting of the ores into ingots like in vanilla furnaces. Here are the links:

Thermal Expansion: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9Gt6lUuPZnnazVYc1RWT0R6TW8/view?usp=sharing
Hopefully this will straighten things out :)
can i disable your world gen and use a different world generation mod to place your ores?

I'm using version 1.3 in a self assembled modpack, and i am unable to smelt any gravel ores, I can put them in the furnace but they are not smelted. Also I have JEI and it does not show that i can smelt the ores into ingots. The only other world gen mod I have is Quark, I don't know if that effects anything.
In 1.12 I'm trying to smelt the iron ore gravel and it will not smelt. Is there a special way they need to be smelted? A special fuel?
yeah i'm having the same problem i can't even use the ore in the pulverizer for thermal expansion.
