Elevator Mod
Adds two carpet-styled blocks that work like an elevator: crouch on one, and you're moved straight to the nearest matching plate above or below you — through floors and ceilings, no open shaft needed.
Blocks
- Elevator Up (light blue carpet) — scans upward for the nearest elevator plate and moves you there.
- Elevator Down (brown carpet) — same, but scans downward.
Either plate will find any elevator plate in its search direction, so you can mix Up and Down plates freely between floors.
How to use
Place an Elevator Up plate on one floor and an Elevator Down (or another Up) plate on another floor, directly above or below it. Crouch while standing on the plate to activate — walking across it does nothing, so it won't trigger by accident. A chime plays on teleport (higher pitch going up, lower going down), and the mod checks that the destination is actually clear before moving you, so you won't get stuck in a wall.

Each plate is crafted with iron ingots, wool (light blue or brown to match), and redstone:
