Description
Shield Hero is a Minecraft mod that transforms the humble shield into a deep progression system. Unlock over 20 unique shields, each with its own passive effects and active abilities, and become the ultimate defender.
The mod introduces a custom the Shield of the Hero which serves as the foundation for a complex progression tree. As you play, you earn Shield XP by defeating mobs. This XP can be spent to level up your Shield Level, which in turn unlocks new shields. Each shield belongs to one of five categories and offers distinct gameplay mechanics, from elemental bursts to life-stealing blocks.
!!Progression System!! Shield XP: Earned by killing mobs while holding the Shield of the Hero. Different mobs give different amounts of XP (e.g., Zombie: 5 XP, Ender Dragon: 500 XP).
Shield Level: Spend XP to purchase levels. The cost increases with each level (100 + (level - 1) × 10 XP). Higher levels are required to unlock more powerful shields.
Mastery: Each shield has its own mastery level (up to 10). Blocking attacks with a shield increases its mastery, unlocking passive bonuses and milestones.
Unlocking: Shields must be unlocked in order, following a dependency tree. Some require specific items, a minimum Shield Level, or special conditions (e.g., Hero Shield requires 15+ shields and Level 50).
Available abilities: Stone Bash, Diamond Toughness, Luck Boost, Bone Rattle, Web Slam, Honey Buff, Life Leech, Ender Teleport, Wither Effect, Poison Burst, Fire Burst, Frost Wave, Tidal Push, Lightning Strike, Shadow Veil, Phantom Form, Dragon Fury, Absolute Absorption, Hero Blessing
Commands The mod provides following commands:
/shieldhero buylevel – Purchase the next Shield Level.
/shieldhero info – Show current Shield Level, XP, and cost for next level.
/shieldhero xp <amount> – Add Shield XP.
/shieldhero setxp <amount> – Set Shield XP.
/shieldhero setlevel <amount> – Set Shield Level.
/shieldhero unlock <shield> – Unlock a shield.
/shieldhero mastery <shield> <level> – Set mastery level for a shield.
/shieldhero reset – Reset all shield data.
