She Remembers

A psychological-horror companion: a doll that follows you, talks with a real voice, and remembers everything you do. At dusk a fate is rolled — your nights depend on how you treat her.

What's new

\## And now she really does leave your screen alone \*\*1.1.1 gave you a switch that silenced the mod's sky, colour grade and fog. It was half a fix\*\*, and the half it missed was found the way the first half was: by setting \`modsOwnLook = false\`, looking up, and seeing \*\*the sun still a round white disc.\*\* Nothing was drawing it. Underneath those three renderers, She Remembers was also \*\*replacing eleven of Minecraft's own texture files\*\*, baked into the mod jar where they applied every launch, in every world, whether you wanted them or not: \*\*the sun\*\*, \*\*all eight moon phases\*\* — replaced with the same single image, so whenever the mod's own sky was off \*your moon never changed phase\* — and \*\*the water\*\*, still and flowing. \*\*No setting could ever have turned those off.\*\* A resource override is applied when Minecraft builds its resource stack, long before it reads a line of any config file. It is JonahNP's original report, one layer further down, and it was ours the whole time. \- \*\*Those files are now a resource pack, in the screen you already know.\*\* Options → Resource Packs → \*\*"She Remembers: Sun, Moon & Water"\*\*. One click on the arrow and it is off: Mojang's sun back, Mojang's water back, and Mojang's moon back — \*and changing phase again.\* Nothing to edit, nothing to restart. \- \*\*It ships ON and stays where you leave it.\*\* Do nothing and 1.1.1 looks unchanged. Turn it off and the mod will never quietly switch it back on. That is the whole difference between a default and a force. \- \*\*\`/doll setup\` now reports the textures on their own line\*\* — and if you asked for vanilla in the config while the pack is still on, it says so in red and names the exact click. \*\*And one lost sentence no longer costs the whole night.\*\* A second report: continuous listening comes on, "listening" appears — then she never replies and the ear never opens again until Minecraft is restarted, with \`/doll setup\` reporting everything healthy. Her voice runs as a chain — hear, think, speak, done — and the ear only reopens when the chain says \*done\*. \- \*\*Two watchdogs now stand over that chain.\*\* A conversation stuck longer than any real exchange could take is forced back to ready, and so is the gate that stops her talking over herself, which when stuck was silently swallowing every new line \*and\* holding the microphone shut. One stuck sentence now costs exactly one sentence. \- \*\*The hole we could find is sealed.\*\* An unexpected failure in the free neural voice service could kill the speaking worker while it still held that gate — mute and deaf, forever, with a clean log. However that voice fails now, the offline Windows voice speaks the same line and the gate always comes home. The always-on ear got the same treatment. \- \*\*The log tells the truth now.\*\* The line that report quoted ended with \`aiEnabled=false\`, which only ever described the paid path — it read \*false\* for every player on the free local brain and pointed the whole investigation at a brain that was fine. It names the actual brain now. Every exchange leaves one line: sizes only, never your words. \- \*\*Smaller fixes on the same sweep.\*\* When she cannot make out what you said she asks again \*in the language you were speaking\* — a missed Hebrew mumble used to get a sudden English line. A talk key held down forever stops keeping audio after two minutes instead of growing a clip too large to transcribe. \*\*A shaderpack setting that was never actually on.\*\* ECLIPSE asks Iris to snap the shadow map to a 2-block grid so shadow edges do not crawl as you walk. It was declared with the wrong number type, Iris ignored it with a quiet warning, and it ran at the default in every version that ever shipped. Fixed — and the standalone pack is updated to \*\*Afterimage 2.2.2\*\* to match. \*Two files, one mod, one number. Download the one that names your loader:\* \`SheRemembers-neoforge-26.1.2-1.1.2.jar\` \*\*or\*\* \`SheRemembers-fabric-26.1.2-1.1.2.jar\`. On Fabric you also need \*\*Fabric API\*\*. GeckoLib is inside both jars — do not install it separately.
