Shattered Echoes
The world remembers what happens to it.
Every block you break, every mob you slay, every death that happens nearby leaves a fading echo behind — a ghostly replay of the moment it happened. Shattered Echoes doesn't change gameplay or balance; it just makes the world feel a little more haunted, a little more alive with its own history.
Features
- Block-break echoes — shattered blocks leave behind fading particle traces where they were destroyed.
- Mob-death echoes — slain mobs leave a translucent, blue-tinted ghost of their own model replaying at the death site. Because it reuses the mob's actual registered renderer, this works automatically for modded mobs too, not just vanilla ones.
- Player-death echoes — player deaths leave their own fading trace behind.
- Fully configurable — tune how long each echo type lingers (block, mob, player) and how far the mob-death ghost effect syncs to nearby players, via a simple config file.
- Persistent — echoes are saved with your world and survive a server restart, expiring naturally based on in-world time rather than uptime.
- Lightweight & vanilla-friendly — built entirely on vanilla particle and rendering systems, no custom shaders or heavy client mods required.
