What's new
Seamless Ores 2.0.0 for Minecraft 26.2 (Fabric)
Mythic Upgrades support, 40 blocks to 64
Install Mythic Upgrades and its ore gets host matched too. 24 new blocks.
- Aquamarine, citrine, peridot, topaz and necoium in granite, diorite, andesite and tuff. That mod already generates all five in those stones, so this is a pure restyle with no balance effect.
- Ruby and sapphire in basalt and blackstone.
- Ametrine and jade are deliberately absent. They generate in end stone, and the End has no second stone type, so there is nothing to be seamless with.
Nothing is required. Without the mod installed those blocks are simply not registered.
Fixed: Nether variants never generated
In 1.0.0 no basalt or blackstone ore generated in any world, ever. The bastion protection check was wrong in a way that made every Nether vein look like it was inside a bastion, so all of them fell back to vanilla's netherrack only targets. Nothing was logged, which is why it took a while to spot.
Nether rebalance
The Nether is the one place this mod adds ore rather than restyling it, so 2.0.0 gives it real controls instead of a single on or off.
- Nether ore rarity, default 8. One basalt or blackstone vein in this many becomes ore. Basalt deltas run roughly twice the usual gold and quartz attempts and are almost entirely basalt, so at 1.0.0 nearly every vein there converted. This setting only ever removes ore that this mod added. Vanilla's netherrack veins are not touched by it.
- Nether vein size, default 60 percent. Read this one before you decide. It shrinks vanilla's own netherrack gold and quartz veins as well, because vein size belongs to the whole feature rather than to the entries this mod adds. Below its thin basalt crust a delta is netherrack, so some of what you dig through there is vanilla's own ore. Set it to 100 to leave vein size exactly as vanilla has it.
- Ruby and sapphire in basalt deltas, on by default, with a size setting. Placed like ancient debris: scattered single blocks, never exposed to open air, and they do generate under lava. Ruby sits around Y 28, sapphire around Y 12. This is added ore, and it is one toggle away.
Create zinc vein size default raised
The zinc vein size now defaults to 9 rather than 6. Testing said 6 took too much away.
As before, this setting changes Create's own balance, which is why it is called out here rather than buried. Create generates zinc evenly from Y -63 to Y 70 at vein size 12, so it is equally common at every depth. Set this to 12 and Create's generation is left completely untouched.
The zinc variants themselves still add no zinc at all. Create already generates it in these stones, so the amount in your world is identical with or without this mod.
Config reorganised
Fifteen settings was too many for one flat list, so the screen is now split into Overworld, Nether, Create and Mythic Upgrades.
Config still gates generation only, never which blocks exist, so a client and a server with different settings can never disagree about the block list.
Unchanged
Overworld generation is still byte identical to vanilla: same veins, same places, same counts. The large copper and iron vein restyle, the two layer models that keep resource packs working, tag, loot and XP parity, and compatibility with worldgen overhauls and ore datapacks are all as they were.
