SceneCraft automatically turns your Minecraft gameplay into cinematic highlight reels.
Just play the game. SceneCraft records in the background, detects your best moments — kills, deaths, builds, exploration, advancements — and renders them as ready-to-share MP4 clips with dynamic camera work. No video editor, no replay mod, no effort.
Features
- Automatic recording — Toggle recording with F12 or auto-start on server join via the checkbox on the multiplayer screen
- Highlight detection — Sliding-window analysis scores combat, deaths, near-deaths, building streaks, biome discoveries, dimension changes, advancements, and elytra flights
- 5 cinematic camera styles — Orbit, Tracking, Flyby, Crane, and Pullback shots are auto-selected based on highlight type, with variety tracking to keep clips visually diverse
- Player-visible camera — Your player model renders with full skin, armor, walk animation, and arm swing while an invisible camera orbits around them
- Smooth camera tracking — Camera dynamically follows your player's interpolated position with Catmull-Rom spline paths — no jitter, no lag
- 1080p 60fps H.264 export — Renders directly to MP4 via FFmpeg at CRF 18 quality
- Highlight review screen — Press F9 to browse detected highlights, preview camera types, and select which ones to export
- Batch export — Select multiple highlights and export them all in one click
- Desktop output — Finished clips land on your Desktop, ready to share
- Zero setup for players — Server owner installs the mod, gets an auto-provisioned free trial with no signup required
How It Works
Play on a server with SceneCraft installed. Recording starts automatically (or press F12). When you disconnect, SceneCraft analyzes your session and detects up to 10 highlights. Press F9 to review them — each highlight shows its category, timestamp, and camera style.
Select the clips you want, hit "Export Selected," and SceneCraft replays the recorded session internally, positions a cinematic camera for each highlight, and pipes frames to FFmpeg. Finished MP4s appear on your Desktop.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1 (Fabric)
- Multiplayer only — requires the mod installed on both client and server
- Fabric API
- Java 21+
- FFmpeg on system PATH (for video export)
Detected Highlight Types
SceneCraft watches for combat damage, kills, player deaths, near-death escapes, building bursts, biome discoveries, dimension changes, structure entries, advancements, rare item pickups, and elytra flights. Each type maps to a preferred camera style — combat gets tracking shots, deaths get dramatic orbits, builds get flybys.
Licensing
SceneCraft works out of the box with a free trial — no registration needed. 10 free export sessions, then server owners can upgrade for unlimited exports. One license per server.
