SCC - Super Cool Calculator

A storage and autocrafting network with nothing to encode. Put a connector on the chests you already have, a calculator on the machines you already built, and ask the terminal for what you want.

What's new

SCC – Super Cool Calculator 1.0.3

Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge 21.1+

First start after updating: SCC scans all recipes once more (the recipe source is now part of the saved analysis). Open the analysis window (small box in the top left, or press C) – the scan runs much faster while it is open. Worlds that use the new Cable Bus should not be opened with 1.0.1 again – the devices on it would be lost.

New

  • EMI support – packs with EMI instead of JEI now get every machine recipe, not just vanilla crafting and smelting. Its not really tested yet, make sure to report bugs <3..

    • Recipes, machines (workstations) and Mekanism chemicals are read from EMI when JEI is not installed. With both installed, SCC keeps reading from JEI. - Its nor really tested yet, make sure to report bugs <3.
    • Drag items and fluids from EMI into filter fields, "+" on EMI recipes (crafting terminal pattern, order dialog, recipe editor, requester, restock list), R / U and bookmarks on the terminal grid, search sync button.
  • Missing ingredients are marked in every recipe (JEI and EMI, like AE2): ingredients that are not in storage are marked red. Shown while a terminal is open.

  • Cable Bus – several wall devices on one cable block (like AE2).

    • Right-click the free side of a wall device with another wall device to add it there. Sneak-right-click still places it next to it.
    • Up to 6 devices per block: Terminal, Crafting Terminal, Processing / Advanced / Custom / External Processing Calculator, Transfer Calculator, Security Terminal, Storage Connector, Redstone Emitter Panel.
    • Storage Connectors can now be placed into a cable like the other wall devices (sneak to place it next to the cable as before).
    • Every device keeps its own settings, inventory, power and item input – two Processing Calculators on one bus work independently.
    • Breaking removes only the device you aim at. When one device is left, the block turns back into a normal wall device.
    • Wrench (sneak) puts the targeted device into your inventory. Settings Cards, tier upgrades and controller network upgrades work per device.
    • Jade shows name and details of the targeted device.
  • Calculated Redstone Emitter Panel: the emitter as a panel that sits on a cable – several fit on one Cable Bus. Crafted from a Redstone Emitter.

  • Breaking Calculator redstone control: ignore redstone, run with signal or run without signal (same as the Transfer Calculator).

  • JEI / EMI drag & drop into every filter field, applied immediately:

    • Redstone Emitter, Restock list (Wireless Terminal) and Just Transformation Calculator now accept items from JEI / EMI.
    • JEI / EMI fluids can be dropped into the Requester (row switches to fluid), Transfer Calculator, Just Transformation Calculator and the recipe editor fluid slots.
    • The Restock list saves every change right away instead of on closing.
  • Requester:

    • Stock is always live – updated every second, also for disabled or waiting rows, and right after choosing an item.
    • Every row has a small bar that runs down until the next check, matching the chosen interval.

Changed

  • Facades are now part of the block model instead of being drawn separately: no more flickering where a facade meets a neighbouring block or the device underneath. Holding the wrench still shows the device.
  • Redstone Emitter texture now shows a redstone core, so it is recognisable at a glance.
  • Panels in every direction: Wall Terminal, Wall Crafting Terminal, Security Terminal and the Calculator / Crafting / Storage Monitors can now also face up and down (floor and ceiling).
  • Help tooltips are wrapped into a compact box instead of one line across the whole screen. Item tooltips stay as they are.
  • Cable connections on 3D blocks: the cable reaches exactly to the model and ends in a small connector clamp (Item Collector, Job Accelerator, Redstone Emitter, Toggle Bus, monitors, Storage Connector, Wireless Receiver / Transmitter, Network Antenna). Without a cable nothing changes.

Fixed

  • Multi-step autocrafts often stopped with "no free Calculation Crafter":
    • a postponed crafting step kept its crafters locked for the step pulled forward,
    • failed jobs never released their crafter slots (every failure permanently used up one slot),
    • job numbers restarted after a server restart and no longer matched the crafter slots. Slots of jobs that no longer exist are now cleared automatically.
  • Long job states no longer run under the cancel button in the job list.
  • Transfer Calculators used a lot of tick time while they could not move anything (e.g. "container is full"): they now back off up to one second between attempts and refresh terminals less often.
  • Terminals on a Cable Bus showed no items (only tanks) after rejoining or right after adding a second terminal.
  • Middle-click did not order items that were already in storage when the stored stack carried extra mod data (e.g. copper ingots) – it only worked after taking all of them out. Middle-click on pinned items now orders too.
  • The Requester checked one second later than its interval.
  • The Requester's waiting time stood still while the planner was answering.

Notes for existing worlds

  • Devices on a Cable Bus cannot be rotated with the wrench yet.
  • Aiming at the cable core while breaking removes the whole bus – everything on it drops.
