SCC - Super Cool Calculator

A storage and autocrafting network with nothing to encode. Put a connector on the chests you already have, a calculator on the machines you already built, and ask the terminal for what you want.

What's new

SCC – Super Cool Calculator 1.0.1

Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge 21.1+

First start after updating: SCC scans all recipes once more (the recipe format changed). Open the analysis window (it pops up as a small box in the top left, or press C) – the scan runs much faster while it is open.

New

  • Custom Processing Calculator (Basic to Netherite, block and wall panel). Enter your own recipes – for machines JEI does not know, or to make the network prefer a certain route. Custom recipes are preferred, not forced: if an ingredient is missing, a regular recipe may still win.
    • Crafting-table style editor: 3×3 ingredient grid, main result plus up to 3 byproducts, 2 fluid slots, "keep in machine" ingredients (middle click).
    • 3 recipes per tier (up to 15 at Netherite).
    • Has the same side configuration as the Advanced Processing Calculator.
  • JEI "+" works everywhere:
    • Recipe editor – takes over the whole recipe, crafting ingredients keep their grid position.
    • Terminal and Crafting Terminal – opens the order dialog for the result (crafting recipes still fill the crafting grid).
    • Requester – fills the first empty row.
    • Restock list – fills the first empty slot.
  • Industrial Foregoing Potion Brewer support through the Custom Processing Calculator:
    • Glass bottles, blaze powder and brewing ingredients land in the right slots.
    • Brewing ingredients are filled in recipe order, one stage per slot.
    • Potions are only pulled out once the brew is finished.
    • Blaze powder from the calculator's fuel setting goes into the fuel slot; blaze powder in the recipe is a brewing ingredient (Strength).
    • The water tank is only topped up to 1000 mB.
  • Mekanism QIO: the Storage Connector now reads QIO frequencies (Drive Array, Dashboard, Importer, Exporter, Redstone Adapter). Private frequencies only for their owner.
  • Machine buffers are used: if a Mekanism machine already holds the needed chemical (e.g. a full diamond infusion buffer), orders skip that ingredient and only send the rest – no more Diamond Dust for every Reinforced Alloy.
  • Alternative infusing recipes in the recipe tree for every richer source, e.g. 4 Infused Alloy + 1 Enriched Diamond = 4 Reinforced Alloy, 8 Infused Alloy from 1 Enriched Redstone.
  • Recipe scan box: while the scan runs, a small box shows the progress with a button to the analysis window.
  • Restock window now shows your inventory – drop an item on a slot to add it.
  • Fluid-only recipes can be ordered (e.g. Dry Rubber from Latex + Water).

Changed

  • Recipe scan is much faster, especially with the analysis window open.
  • 3D block models are the default. The previous flat look is available as the resource pack "SCC Flat Blocks".
  • Search: every SCC search field understands the terminal syntax (@mod, #tag, &id, $tooltip, -word, |, any word order).
  • Enchanted gear is listed per enchantment ("Iron Helmet (Protection IV)") instead of one merged entry. Filters, requesters and emitters set to a plain item now only match unenchanted items.
  • Terminal: while Shift is held, entries keep their position (like AE2).
  • Visuals: glowing screens on the 3D models, SCC-styled tooltips, dark input fields in dark mode, active machines tinted cyan, better contrast in the Light mode pack.
  • Water in recipes is kept as an optional ingredient: inserted when the network has it, skipped when it arrives by pipe.

Fixed

  • Security: with security enabled, other players could break or dismantle network blocks (including storage blocks with all their contents) and join a foreign network by placing blocks next to it. Breaking, wrenching and placing now require the build permission; only the owner may break a controller.
  • Ingredients ended up in the wrong machine of the same mod when all correct machines were busy (e.g. Dissolution Chamber recipes in Latex Processing Units). The job now waits for the right machine.
  • The IF Potion Brewer was used as a brewing stand for regular brewing recipes it cannot run.
  • Charged tools (e.g. Just Dire Things) did not come back through restocking.
  • Taking several items at once could merge different variants into copies of the first one (damaged tools, named items).
  • Water bottles and potions disappeared from the craftable list after moving or pinning a window (the stored analysis was discarded).
  • Dry Rubber only received Latex, not Water.
  • 3D block items were rendered flat and oversized, breaking particles showed the missing texture.

Notes for existing worlds

  • Storage Connectors placed before 1.0.1 do not know who placed them. On a private QIO frequency, break and replace the connector once.
