# ScalableLux Backport

ScalableLux Backport brings lighting optimization improvements inspired by ScalableLux to Minecraft 1.16.5 Fabric.

## Why?

Many players still enjoy older Minecraft versions, especially 1.16.5, but optimization support for those versions has mostly slowed down or stopped.

This project aims to bring many of the lighting performance improvements from modern optimization mods to older versions, helping reduce the cost of light updates and improve performance in worlds with frequent lighting changes.

I personally still prefer older versions of Minecraft, and I disliked seeing optimization support fade away for them, so I decided to help bring some of that support back to the community.

## Notes

This is a backport project and may not include every feature from the original mod. The goal is to recreate as much useful functionality as possible while keeping it stable on 1.16.5.
