Sanctuary Progress
Your journey, written into the world.
The companion mod created specifically for Simple Adventure.
Sanctuary Progress gives your adventures a place to belong: a chronicle to carry, a guide to consult, and a record of the places and battles that shape your journey.
First public beta: 0.1.0 · Minecraft Java 1.21.1 · NeoForge · Java 21
Two books for the road
Carry an independent Field Journal and Explorer's Guide, each with a manuscript-inspired interface, leather binding, paper tabs and curved page transitions.
The guide contains 24 chapters of travel advice. The journal brings together challenges, field notes and a page-corner ribbon for tracking your next objective. Filter completed challenges, return to a marked passage, or read the notes at your own pace.
Reading preferences are fitted directly into the books. Choose a paper tone and control material, then adjust presentation options without leaving the binding. The original warm parchment remains the default.
Deeds worth remembering
Sixteen exploration and boss challenges are detected automatically as you play. Progress is saved for the relevant player and world.
A completed challenge can appear as an enchanted seal with runes and ribbons, or in the quieter parchment style. Notification sound, duration and presentation are configurable. The completion notice names the deed without displaying a numeric progress counter.
The challenge lineup is tailored to the biomes and bosses in Simple Adventure. This is a purpose-built companion rather than a universal quest pack.
Presentation that fits your journey
- English text by default, with automatic Spanish when Minecraft uses a Spanish language setting.
- Configurable guide chapters and field notes; authored custom content is retained.
- Separate book-paper and book-control appearance choices.
- General pack colors and button materials, accessible through Video Settings → Sanctuary Progress → Pack theme when the matching pack resources are present.
- Client preferences for notices, page turns, menu particles, death presentation and reduced motion.
- A custom death-screen animation layer that retains Minecraft's native respawn and hardcore behavior.
- Optional interface integrations, including Sodium palette support and placement of recognizable third-party menu controls such as Replay Archive.
Installation and scope
Use Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.187 or later within the 21.1 line, and Java 21. The current Simple Adventure profile uses NeoForge 21.1.264.
For the intended experience, install the complete Simple Adventure modpack and keep its configurations and resource packs. Installing only this JAR provides the companion's own content; it does not recreate all fifteen menu backgrounds, FancyMenu layouts, music, global inventory textures or third-party gameplay mods. General pack-theme controls require the matching Sanctuary_UI and FancyMenu resources.
The mod is in Beta. Build and regression checks have passed; broader in-game visual, audio, multiplayer and dedicated-server review remains ongoing. Keep backups when updating a modded world and report reproducible problems with the relevant logs.
