saintcorpse

Eight pieces of a saint's corpse are scattered across the world. Track them with corpse maps, wear them in eight Curios slots, and assemble a relic that shelters you from harm — JoJo Part 7 flavored.

What's new

  • The price of wearing them. If another player lands the killing blow, every piece you are wearing drops where you fell — keep-inventory does not save them. Only the eight Curios slots; inventory, main hand and offhand stay yours. A player's arrow or trident counts as the player, a wolf or a summon does not. Drops land with a short pickup delay, so the killer has to walk over and pick them up.
  • Config option death.dropOnDeath (default on) in config/saintcorpse-common.toml. Off restores vanilla behaviour.

Changed

  • Part awakening now only happens on a character with no stand. If you already have one, no part awakens anything — D4C will not overwrite it, and Tusk will not replace it either. Still gated behind stand.standLink, which stays off by default until Roundabout ships D4C.
  • The death drop is deliberately silent: no message to the victim, none to the killer. Soul particles and the impact sound stay — items appearing out of nowhere with no feedback reads as a bug.

Fixed

  • Completing the full corpse now actually maxes out your existing stand's level. The check behind it compared two unrelated classes and silently evaluated to false, so the feature had never run once since it was written.
  • Entity altar_eye had no name at all; it is now Altar Eye.
  • A 1060×260 texture-preview sheet from development was being packaged into the jar. Removed (jar −4 KB).

Note

  • Relics that change hands are still bound by the one-of-each-in-the-world rule. Killing someone for a piece does not create a second copy of it.
