Sable Drydock 2.36
Scaling
- Uniform scale and scale along each of the sub-level's own X, Y and Z axes, from ×1/16 to ×2 by default (configurable from ×1/64 to ×32).
- The physics collider is rebuilt on the scaled lattice; mass scales with the volume and inertia accordingly; engine and propeller forces, impulses and constraint anchors follow the scale.
- Joints and bearings are recalculated; jointed sub-levels are resized together, as one body around one point and at one pace, so their parts keep their places and welds. Resizing a welded part takes along only its weld branch; selecting the whole group resizes the group.
- Entities stand on, walk across and interact with scaled sub-levels at their scaled size.
- Smooth transitions; growing sub-levels are lifted clear of terrain; pieces split off a scaled sub-level keep its scale.
- Rendering with the vanilla renderer, Sodium and Flywheel (Create shafts, cogwheels and similar parts), including correct lighting of non-uniformly scaled faces.
- Scales are saved with the world, synced to all players and kept in Sable Photomancy blueprints.
- Physics safety limits for scaled sub-levels in the server config (
scaledPhysicsLimits), each with its own switch. - If an installed Sable version no longer matches a critical patch, scaling is switched off with a message instead of crashing.
Mass and center of mass
- Mass in kilograms, kept when blocks change or the sub-level is resized; empty restores the mass of the blocks.
- Center of mass anywhere within the sub-level's bounds; inertia is recalculated. Both are saved with the world.
Sub-level manager (key K)
- List of every loaded sub-level in every dimension; welded and connected sub-levels as one group that unfolds; search; sorting by distance, name, mass and size; favorites and hidden sub-levels per player.
- 3D view built from the server's data, with block entities and their renderers; Sable Photomancy blueprints and Create schematics are previewed in the same view.
- Actions: go to, bring here (with the whole group), to plot, freeze, guard, rename, disassemble (with a second confirmation for a tilted sub-level), delete, delete group, hard delete (the deletion is written into Sable's sub-level files at once). Destructive actions need a second click.
- Check boxes on rows with All / None: freeze, guard and hide (each undoes its flag when every checked sub-level has it), delete and hard delete on many sub-levels; delete on many files.
- The view shows a scene: the sub-level clicked in the list with its group, and any number of sub-levels brought in by dragging or Ctrl-clicking their rows. The scene stays the same in every tool; a click on another row starts a new one only while nothing was brought in, moved or staged, and Clear the scene empties it.
- Parts are selected by a click, Ctrl- or Shift-click, or a box (Ctrl- or Shift-drag); a group row selects its whole group. Selected parts can be shown alone or hidden.
- Editing tools in the view: scale and proportions (fields or dragging a corner of the box), mass, center of mass (fields or arrows), applied to every selected sub-level at once; every part a new scale reaches is previewed at its new size.
- Tool buttons with drawn icons and tooltips; the action bar can be hidden.
- The manager's state, including unfinished assembly work, is kept while it is closed, until the player leaves the world.
Assembly dock
- The weld tool turns the view into a dock with the selected sub-level's group, sub-levels dragged in from the list (with their groups), and blueprints and Create schematics dragged in from their tabs. A dock can hold only files, or start empty.
- Moving by arrows or keys (1 block, Shift 1/16, Ctrl 0.001) and turning by three Euler rings (15°, Shift 1°, Ctrl 0.1°), along the dock's axes (which stay put while parts turn), the part's own axes or the other part's; the camera turns freely.
- Points on block faces or box corners, moved anywhere within the part from block to block; the block is outlined and the coordinates inside it are shown at the part's scale.
- Snap: as turned, squared to the other part, or, for a hinge, with both axes on one line.
- Joints through Synaxis: rigid weld, hinge (axis by two points on each part), ball joint; welds shown in the view and removable. Selected parts (or the two of a weld or of the points) can be kept from colliding with each other; such parts have a dashed lilac outline and a mark in the list. Removing a weld or a part from the dock leaves the rest of the scene in place.
- Place puts everything into the world as shown; Weld also joins the parts. Parts from files become new sub-levels exactly where shown (placed by Sable Photomancy); a dock of files only is placed in front of the player.
- Remove from the dock and Clear the dock; Put back returns moved parts.

Integrations
- Sable Cleanup Tools 0.3.0+ (optional): Edit button opens the manager with the selected sub-level.
- Sable Photomancy 1.0.1+ (required): scales in blueprints; previewing and placing blueprints and schematics from the dock.
- Synaxis 1.5.0+ (required): the honey welder joins scaled sub-levels at their scaled size; welds, hinges and ball joints in the dock.
- Create (optional): Flywheel parts at the structure's scale; Create schematics in the manager.
Known limitations
- Scaled sub-levels do not run per-block collision callbacks: Create belts do not drive a scaled vehicle; impacts on bells, TNT and fragile blocks are not handled.
- Only loaded sub-levels are listed and can be resized. Entities are not resized.
- A mass or center of mass set by hand is not kept in Photomancy blueprints or by pieces split off.
- The manager's 3D view does not show fluids; Tracks Plus belts may not line up there.
- Sub-levels joined by bearings or welds get the same proportions along their own axes; when they are turned relative to each other, non-uniform scale stretches them in different world directions.
