RS Integration 1.4.4 Update Announcement

Release Date: September 17, 2026

Added

F Key Writes Item ID to Terminal Search Bar

  • While hovering over an item in JEI or EMI, pressing F will write that item's registered ID into the search bar of the currently open Refined Storage or Beyond Dimensions storage terminal.
  • Supports item search keys with NBT and validates requests against the current terminal container; after the terminal is closed or switched, it will not write to a stale UI.
  • F will not steal keyboard focus while typing in JEI, EMI, or REI search boxes; the shortcut can be rebound in Minecraft Controls settings.

JEI Network Inventory and Crafting Shortfall Display

  • The JEI item list can now directly display item counts in the current RS/BD storage network, so you no longer need to repeatedly return to the terminal to check inventory while viewing recipes.
  • After opening a recursive crafting plan or missing-material results, JEI will display on the corresponding items the amount still missing from the current plan. Network inventory and crafting shortfall are distinguished by different positions and colors.
  • Network inventory uses an initial snapshot plus subsequent incremental updates, so the full inventory does not need to be continuously transmitted when items change; when a discontinuity in the update sequence is detected, it actively requests a resync.
  • Added independent config options to separately disable network inventory counts and crafting shortfall display, and the scale of both types of numbers can be adjusted in the client config.

Anvil Material Memory Locking

  • Anvil material memory slots support right-click locking and unlocking; locked materials remain at the front of the memory list and will not be pushed out by later usage records.
  • When a locked material is used again, its position does not change; unlocked materials still update in most-recently-used order.
  • Lock state is saved in player persistent data and remains after relogging; existing anvil memory from older versions will be read compatibly as unlocked.

Improvements

Recursive Crafting Planning

  • Strengthened projection, state validation, and query-cache invalidation for the recursive recipe graph; after inventory, recipe, or machine state changes, the plan is rechecked, reducing the use of stale results.
  • Improved isolation when maximum craftable amount and normal recursive planning share data, preventing concurrent planning sessions from contaminating each other's material requirements or cache state.
  • Batch crafting will more strictly verify material sources and plan state before execution; if items change after planning, it returns a clear shortfall instead of continuing to dispatch based on an old snapshot.
  • Optimized transmission of missing-material information to the client and favorite integration, preserving the correct actual shortage quantity when merging identical requirements.

Mod Recipe Compatibility

  • TACZ gun workbench recipes now read the actual initialized outputs and can be used as intermediate steps in recursive crafting, fixing the issue where gun, ammo, and attachment outputs could not enter the recipe graph.
  • Stable material dependencies of Embers alchemy recipes can now participate in recursive planning, while the original dedicated executor still handles the alchemy table and pedestal operations.
  • Fixed incorrect counts displayed for some Yuush items in JEI network inventory badges.

Fixes

Container Transfer and Slot Filtering

  • Fixed an issue where, when batch-transferring items to some third-party containers, player inventory slots, output slots, or non-insertable slots were misidentified as machine input slots.
  • Before initiating a transfer, the client uses the actual slot ranges of the current menu, and the server still revalidates the target slots, avoiding incorrect insertion or invalid requests caused by UI layout differences.
  • Improved compatibility with special workbenches such as Tetra and containers with extended slots; transfer operations will only select valid input slots that the current container allows writing to.

Plan and UI State

  • Fixed an issue where, after recipe or inventory state changes, old recursive plans could still be reused and give incorrect craftable amounts.
  • Fixed an issue where, when the JEI recipe layout refreshed, network inventory and missing-material badges could briefly retain the previous recipe state.
  • Fixed inconsistent display of some missing-material entries after quantity merging, favoriting, or reopening the plan UI.

Upgrade Notes

  • The mod version has been upgraded to 1.4.4, and the release file is rs_integration-1.4.4.jar.
  • The network protocol has been upgraded from 48 to 50, adding F-key terminal search requests, JEI network inventory incremental sync, and anvil memory lock data. Clients and servers must both update to 1.4.4.
  • Added JEI network inventory, crafting shortfall display, and local scaling config; existing config files do not need to be deleted, as Forge will automatically fill in default values.
  • Legacy anvil material memory, stored contents, machine bindings, favorites, resonance data, and existing crafting jobs will not be actively cleared.
  • Before upgrading important saves, it is still recommended to back up the world and configs, and delete the old RSI JAR from the instance to avoid loading multiple versions at the same time.
