RS Integration 1.4.3 Release Notes

Release Date: September 15, 2026

Added

RS Void Upgrade

  • Added an "RS Void Upgrade" that can be installed into Refined Storage grid filter slots, used to automatically void items entering the corresponding RS network that match its rules.
  • Each upgrade has an independent configuration, can create multiple rules by specific item, item tag, and mod source, and supports blacklist, whitelist, and rule combinations.
  • The configuration UI supports dragging ghost items from the inventory or JEI without actually taking the player's items; before rules are written back to the server, quantity, identifiers, and permissions are validated.
  • Multiple upgrades in the same network are centrally compiled and executed by a network-level coordinator; item changes enter a bounded queue, avoiding a full scan of all rules on every network change.
  • New upgrades default to empty rules and will not void items when unconfigured; simulated insertions, refunds, and quest restoration are not treated as real changes that should be voided.

Auto-Feed Multi-Select and Quick Menu

  • The auto-feed blacklist supports batch selection, range selection, and unified submission, so managing large numbers of foods no longer requires saving them one by one.
  • The auto-feed entry in the RS grid has been changed to an expandable compact menu and remembers the client's expanded state.
  • Client selection state, server preferences, and blacklist synchronization use explicit packet boundaries; old state will not overwrite new selections after switching networks or re-entering the UI.
  • Strengthened permission, rate, and inventory change validation for auto-feeding, avoiding duplicate requests from continuous operations or use of expired candidate items.

Arcane Furnace and Cooking Pot

  • Added recursive crafting support for the Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks Arcane Furnace for Farmer's Delight cooking pot and skillet recipes.
  • The Arcane Furnace prioritizes temporarily drawing on the player's mana for power; when mana is insufficient, it can extract Arcane Essence or Ash Essence from the selected storage network.
  • The planning phase displays fuel conditions; the execution phase still revalidates the furnace, burn time, empty slots, and the actual recipe, avoiding incorrect ingredient consumption when the environment changes after preview.
  • Ash Essence provides a permanent burning state; when normal fuel is insufficient to cover the full recipe time, a clear prompt is retained, and tasks that cannot be completed will not silently start.

Dedicated Remote GUI Bindings

  • Added a precise binding for the Apotheosis Augmenting Table (apotheosis:augmenting_table), allowing its native UI to be opened remotely from the RSI sidebar or machine entry.
  • Added a precise binding for the Goety Dark Anvil (goety:dark_anvil), allowing its native UI to be opened remotely without misidentifying it as the Dark Altar or other Goety crafting machines.
  • Added a precise binding for the Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks Inscription Table (irons_spellbooks:inscription_table); clicking either half of the double-block structure normalizes to the main position that correctly opens the menu.
  • Added a remote binding for the Enchanting Table.
  • The above bindings are all "remote GUI only"; they only show machine operation entries, do not register auto-crafting capability, and do not affect existing Scroll Forge, Arcane Anvil, Altar, or other machine bindings in the same mod.

Improvements

JEI Box Selection Optimization

  • After batch box selection in JEI, you can use Ctrl+Left Click to deselect specific selected entries, with operation logic consistent with Windows.

Large-Batch Crafting and Server Load

  • Parallel groups no longer expand a temporary material list of operation count × material spec count for the entire order; material requirements are now aggregated by batch and generated on demand, significantly reducing memory allocation and main-thread traversal for very large single-recipe orders.
  • Batch scheduling now uses bounded physical batches and incremental dispatch; it still utilizes idle machines of the same type concurrently, and does not limit normal machine throughput through a global serial queue.
  • The extraction ledger records and settles by actual batch, reducing repeated copying, repeated item matching, and full-table scans during failure recovery.
  • Inventory access for Refined Storage and Beyond Dimensions now adds snapshot and index reuse; queries for the same material within a batch no longer repeatedly scan the entire network.
  • Large tasks continue to advance per tick; the new optimizations only reduce planning, allocation, and ledger overhead, and do not change recipe counts, material deduction, product ownership, or refund rules.

Recursive Planning and Machine Selection

  • The planner has improved compatibility with runtime NBT, dynamic outputs, and legacy plan trees, preventing stateful items from being incorrectly replaced with normal items in recursive chains.
  • Candidate recipes are pruned early based on actually available machine types and binding states; paths without compatible machines are no longer selected into executable plans.
  • Multiple candidate machines each retain their unavailability reasons; multiblock machines such as the Goety Altar can display their specific position, state, and rejection reason in the plan.

Intermediate Products Participate in FTB Quest Detection

  • Main products confirmed as produced during recursive crafting are synced to FTB Quests.
  • This includes intermediate products later consumed by downstream recipes; container returns, refunds, and simulated changes are not double-counted.

Recipe UI and Operation Feedback

  • JEI recipe button position calculation and lifecycle handling are more stable; when the UI is rebuilt, invalid button areas are not retained and old material states are not incorrectly reused.
  • JEI/EMI only filters accidental double-clicks within a very short time for the same recipe; after slow planning or a failed request, retries work normally, and there is no longer up to 1.5 seconds of no feedback.
  • When the server rejects overly frequent preview requests, it displays "Request processing" to the player, and rejected requests do not continuously extend the rate-limit window.
  • Missing-material prompts now use a structured material bill. Even if parser diagnostic text is empty, every missing material and the actual missing amount are fully displayed, and per-item favoriting is retained.

Fixes

Machine Execution and Item Recovery

  • Fixed an issue where the Malum Altar was misjudged as complete when it briefly cleared the crafting state during animation; completion is now confirmed by the real product entity or captured output.
  • When a Malum task is cancelled or fails, items actually recovered from the machine and pedestals are registered first, then the extraction ledger supplements the remaining refund, avoiding duplicate returns or missing physical inputs.
  • Fixed boundary issues in Malum Spirit Crucible dynamic recipe refresh, output recognition, and slot recovery.
  • Fixed an issue where Goety, Iron Furnaces, and some vanilla forging chains continued to use expired plans after machine type, runtime output, or candidate binding changes.
  • Fixed an issue where machine native batch and RSI scheduled batch boundaries were inconsistent, causing progress to complete early, remaining operations not to be dispatched, or settlement counts to be inconsistent.
  • Fixed the issue where stacking Gluttony mode kept eating.
  • Fixed the Netherite Backpack upgrade failure.
  • Fixed cases where the Spirit Crucible could not receive a speed boost.
  • Fixed cases where Ars Nouveau could not find machines in some situations.

Containers, Search, and UI Compatibility

  • Container quick transfer now skips fake slots used only for display or simulated interaction, avoiding invalid move requests to JEI, recipe previews, and other virtual slots.
  • Fixed an issue where missing or failed linking of third-party mod item tooltip classes dragged down the RS search index; abnormal tooltips only isolate the corresponding item, and other search results can still be indexed.
  • Improved background publishing and invalidation of the RS search index; old index results no longer overwrite updated search text.
  • Fixed click offsets after some recipe browser UI switching, material state cache invalidation, and button area rearrangement.

Upgrade Notes

  • Mod version upgraded to 1.4.3; release file is rs_integration-1.4.3.jar.
  • Network protocol upgraded from 45 to 47, adding RS Void Upgrade configuration and auto-feed preference sync. Client and server must both be updated to 1.4.3.
  • The server config structure remains version 6; existing config files do not need to be deleted. New client preferences and feature configs will be auto-filled with default values by Forge.
  • RS Void Upgrade will not automatically install or generate rules; after upgrading, it will not actively void existing network items.
  • This update will not actively clear storage contents, machine bindings, favorites, resonance data, or existing crafting task progress. Before upgrading important saves, it is still recommended to back up the world and configs, and delete old RSI JARs from the instance to avoid loading multiple versions at the same time.
