Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
0.6.0
New in this version:
- Wood from other mods rots too. The wood of tree mods (Biomes O' Plenty and the like) is found when the game starts: planks, logs, wood blocks, slabs, stairs, fences, gates, doors and trapdoors named after a mod's planks. Each gets grey, rotting and rotten stages, drawn from that mod's own models and textures, and named after its blocks ("Rotting Fir Planks").
- Each wood lasts as long as the real tree it is named after, by its durability class (EN 350): redwood and cedar are durable, willow and poplar are not. Woods with no real counterpart get the middle class.
- They grey, rot, give way, plane, strip and take wax like vanilla wood. They have no tarred or charred blocks yet.
- Beds mold. A bed's mattress is wool: kept wet, it molds (both halves together, and it shows), then rots away.
- Signs show their age. A sign in the sun goes grey and a damp one looks rotting, before it falls apart.
- Bamboo scaffolding rots in the damp, and what stood on it comes down.
- Wooden buttons and pressure plates rot away; a rotten beehive falls apart and lets its bees out.
- Leather and paper mold in damp storage: a cellar, underground, a chest against the soil, the rain (not in a pocket).
- Paper and books turn into moldy paper and moldy books in 2-4 weeks, and what was written in them is lost.
- Leather molds in 1-2 months; moldy leather armour goes on rotting at the seams in the damp until it falls apart.
