rot_and_mold-neoforge-1.21.1-0.4.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
0.4.0
New in this version:
-Food spoils, as fast as it does in reality. At 20 °C raw beef, pork and mutton keep 1-1.5 days, chicken and fish half a day, cooked meat about a day, bread a week, apples and potatoes 2-3 weeks, eggs 3-5 weeks. With one real day being about 5 minutes of play, that means storing food matters.
-Temperature decides: every 10 °C warmer spoils food 2.5 times faster. A cellar keeps it longer, a chest packed against ice or snow (an ice house) keeps it near freezing, and frozen food hardly changes.
-Stored food ages only where the world is simulated, like everything else in the mod. Food you carry ages with you.
-Spoiled meat and fish become rotten flesh, a spoiled stew leaves its bowl, and everything else becomes **Spoiled Food** (compostable, and it makes you ill if eaten).
-Food that is going off may make you ill: a bar on the item shows how far it has gone, and the tooltip says when it is getting old or going off.
- Stacks of about the same age stack together; old and fresh food stay apart.
- The foods and their lifetimes are data pack files (`rot_and_mold/foods`), so modpacks can add their own.
- When moss grows over stone, the stone keeps its lichen and any other wear in progress.
