From 《Relics of the Fading City》Special: Minefading.
Although this is a mod originally tailored for a specific modpack, I hope to see it utilized in more modpacks out there (provided that proper author attribution is given and commercial use is strictly prohibited).

This mod alters the death mechanic: upon dying, players are rolled back to a previous point in time rather than being sent back to their spawn point.

It also includes various interesting features and gimmicks:

Name	Type	Function	Notes
Inhaler	Inhaler	Used to trigger the Core.	The inhaler needs to be equipped in the main hand.
Disconnect	Core	Instantly saves the game.	The Core needs to be equipped in the off-hand.
Chronos	Core	Instantly saves the game and slows down time for a certain duration. The game will automatically save again once the effect ends.	The Core needs to be equipped in the off-hand.
Molting	Core	Instantly triggers a rollback.	The Core needs to be equipped in the off-hand.
Tower	Core	Destroys oneself.	The Core needs to be equipped in the off-hand. WARNING: This feature will force the player into Spectator Mode permanently (cannot be modified)!
Fine Sand	Core	Marks a single creature, bringing it to the player's side during a rollback.	The Core needs to be equipped in the off-hand. Only one creature-marking Core can be triggered at a time.
Karma	Core	Marks a single creature. Upon death, the marked creature takes damage based on the player's maximum health, while healing the player.	The Core needs to be equipped in the off-hand. Only one creature-marking Core can be triggered at a time.
Pantheon	Core	Marks a single creature. When this creature takes damage, it modifies the items in the player's main and off hands.	The Core needs to be equipped in the off-hand. Only one creature-marking Core can be triggered at a time.
Stagnation	Core	Marks a single creature, causing it to lose its AI for a period of time.	The Core needs to be equipped in the off-hand. Only one creature-marking Core can be triggered at a time.
Countdown	Mod Config	Changes the screen display from "Day X" to "X Days Remaining" at the start of a new day.	WARNING: Once the countdown ends, the player will be forced into Spectator Mode permanently (cannot be modified)!
