Roaring FPS Fix

Roaring FPS Fix is an unofficial client-side performance patch for Roaring beta 0.3 on Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge.

The mod disables three expensive full-screen overlay handlers from Roaring:

• Shaded Effect overlay

• Darkness Fountain overlay

• Dark Fountain overlay

It uses both a Mixin and a Forge event-bus fallback to ensure that the targeted handlers are disabled. Server-side logic, entities, items, combat mechanics, sounds, models, and other gameplay features are not modified.

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.20.1

• Forge 47.x

• Roaring beta 0.3

Installation

1. Install the original Roaring beta 0.3 mod.

2. Place roaringfpsfix-1.0.0.jar in your mods folder.

3. Keep both the original Roaring JAR and Roaring FPS Fix installed.

The disabled screen effects may no longer appear. This is intentional and provides the performance improvement.

This project does not contain or redistribute any Roaring source code, classes, textures, models, sounds, or other assets.
