# Reverse Eon 1.1.6

## [1.1.6] — 2026-07-28

### Fixes

- **The Soul Hourglass can bring Regulus back.** He was missing from the list of islanders you could restore at the wheel — Vertin, Sonetto, Matilda, Druvis and Regulus are all there now, and the panel grows to fit them.
- **Fixed: NPC emote stickers appeared upside down.**
- **Fixed: a stray file in the mod was disabling mipmapping for every block and item in the game.** Distant textures should stop shimmering and look noticeably cleaner.

### The Apple buddy has a body

- **Apple is a real creature now**, not a floating vanilla apple — its own model, with idle, walking, running, chattering and attacking animations.
- **It runs when it's chasing something** and strolls when it's just tagging along.
- **It chirps at you** when you right-click to check its sheet, and lunges when it casts.
- **Max it out and it turns gold.** Purely for show — the golden Apple fights exactly as hard as the red one.

### Security fixes — please update if you run a server

- **Fixed: another player could read, empty and fill your Suitcase Tablet storage network from anywhere in the world.** The tablet's terminal only ever checked *which* Computer Suitcase you asked for, never whether it was yours — or whether you owned a tablet at all. It now requires an installed tablet actually bound to that Computer. **This was exploitable on any multiplayer server; single-player was unaffected.**
- **Fixed: the tablet's install timer could be skipped instantly** through a leftover network message from a button that no longer exists.
- **Fixed: anyone could wipe any island NPC's walk zone** without holding a tablet.
- **Fixed: Matilda's and Regulus's menus never closed.** You could open them, walk to another dimension, and keep re-rolling auras and upgrading Mr. Apple from anywhere. They now close when you leave, like every other islander's menu.
- **Fixed: the Bonds screen accepted made-up passive names** from a modified client.

### The mod makes noise now

- **Every islander's screen has its own voice.** The same chime, pitched per character — Druvis low and earthy, Regulus bright and pleased with himself — so you can hear whose room you just walked into.
- **The Arcanist Aura sounds like something.** A low swell and a chime when it rises, tinted by your colour, and a fading note when it goes out. It used to activate in total silence.
- **Attuning to a rare colour is celebrated** instead of just appearing.
- Vertin's exchange and the Colour Codex had no click sounds at all; they do now, and refused actions sound refused.

### Each islander's window is framed in their own colour

- Every vintage screen used to wear the same antique gold frame, so the only way to tell Vertin's exchange from Druvis's workshop was to read it. The frame now carries the character's colour — the art-deco corners stay, just re-coloured.

### Auras resonate

Stand close to another Arcanist and the right pair of colours will find each other. A thread of light connects you, and you both gain something neither has alone.

- **Bloodletting** — Crimson + Verdant. You heal for a quarter of the damage you deal.
- **The Long Hour** — Void + Gilded. Both auras burn half as slowly.
- **Bulwark** — Silver + Obsidian. You take 30% less damage from everything.
- **Chorus** — three Arcanists sharing one colour. While you stand together, the aura simply doesn't fade.

### Sheltering from the Storm no longer costs you progress

- **Fixed: raising the Equilibrium Umbrella or activating a Hofmann Knot stopped you earning Arcanist EXP entirely.** Storm damage was the only source, so the two items meant to keep you alive quietly halted your progression — surviving well was the wrong move.
- Sheltering now earns at a reduced rate instead of nothing, so staying out in it is a real choice rather than the only choice. Configurable, and can be set back to the old behaviour.

### Arcanist gear looks like Arcanist gear

- **Fixed: the Arcanist Chestplate's icon was the suitcase door.** Not a similar texture — the same image file. It has a chestplate now.
- **Fixed: the Arcanist Leggings were a plain brown square.** Also redrawn, matching the helmet and boots.
- **The Arcanist Ingot is an ingot** instead of another lump of rock, while keeping the same pale green-and-blue material as the shard and powder.
- **The Arcanist Shard and Arcanist Powder were redrawn.** Both were blurry resized images rather than pixel art — the Shard is now a faceted crystal with a lit edge and a bright core, and the Powder is a pinch of dust with motes drifting off it. They read at a glance in the hotbar now instead of being two smudges. The Arcanist Aura status icon was updated to match.

### The Storm looks like it's closing in

- **The Storm's vignette was rebuilt.** It used to darken the left and right of the screen with two flat bars that had a hard edge down the middle of your view; now it's a proper gradient that closes in from every side.
- **It reacts to you, not just to the clock.** Raise the Equilibrium Umbrella or activate a Hofmann Knot and the screen visibly settles — you can see that you're safe without being told. Catch Storm Syndrome and the pulse tightens.
- **The third phase looks like The Reverse**, not just a darker version of phase two: a colder light bleeds in tight around the edges as the timeline gives way.
- The pulse no longer beats like a metronome.

### You can see through the menus now

- **Every screen in the mod is translucent** — the world keeps showing through while you trade, tune the radio or read the Tome. Text and borders stay solid, so nothing got harder to read.

### Mr. Apple

- **The buddy is called Mr. Apple now.** Show some respect.
- **He floats at your eye level** instead of sitting in the ground, and **you can hit and click him where he actually is** — his hitbox lines up with him now.
- **No more footstep sounds**, which never suited someone who doesn't touch the floor.
- **A "Send home" button on his status sheet** puts him away — right-click Mr. Apple, click send home. Call him back from Regulus whenever.
- **Regulus's workshop shows the real Mr. Apple**, not a plain vanilla apple, on the turntable and on the status sheet.
- **The upgrade materials are shown as actual items** in the SIGNAL FUEL row, so you can see what you're hunting for instead of guessing from a name.

### Every islander has their own colour

- **Each NPC's screens are now tinted with a colour taken from their own skin** — Vertin the turquoise of her hat ribbon, Sonetto her auburn hair, Matilda her lilac, Druvis marigold, Regulus the blue of his jacket.
- It follows them everywhere: their own menus, the conversation window, the Bonds constellations, the Soul Hourglass list, and their Bestiary pages.
- The Tome, the Suitcase Tablet and the Computer Suitcase keep their own look — they don't belong to anyone.

### Conversations redesigned

- **NPC conversations have a proper window now** — the NPC on the left, what they're saying on the right, and your replies as buttons along the bottom, with an ✕ to step away.
- **You see the NPC themselves, not a flat portrait.** They stand there in 3D and glance toward your cursor.
- **They move while they talk** — a slight sway, a nod, a breath of a bob — and settle when the line finishes, so you can tell at a glance whether they're still speaking.
- **Room for longer lines** (five lines instead of two), with a blinking cursor while the text comes in.
- The window sits exactly where it always did and stays see-through, so you never lose sight of the world.

### Island NPCs show how they feel

- **NPCs now pop a little sticker of themselves above their head.** Vertin, Sonetto, Matilda, Druvis and Regulus each have their own set of drawings — nobody borrows anyone else's.
- **The sticker fits the moment.** They react to being hit, to a flower or a favourite gift, to being spoken to, to The Storm, and to another islander standing nearby — and otherwise just show one at random while they potter about.
- **One every 35 seconds at most**, per NPC, so the island stays calm.
- Some stickers are animated.

### Aura visuals rebuilt (performance)

- **Every aura now has its own look.** Crimson throws embers, Void pulls motes inward, Gilded turns a slow crown above your head, Verdant scatters pollen at your feet, Silver traces a crisp orbit, Obsidian settles a dark shroud, and Prism cycles through its three colours. The plain colours keep their soft rising motes.
- **The screen vignette matches its aura** — Crimson beats fast and hard, Void breathes slowly and reaches further in, Obsidian sits almost still and heavy.
- **Auras are much lighter on the game.** The particles are now drawn by your own game instead of being sent over the network by the server, so an aura costs the server nothing and no longer floods a busy area with packets — most noticeable with several Arcanists together, or on a server.
- **Auras respect your particle setting.** "Decreased" halves them, "Minimal" turns them off. They also fade out past 16 blocks and stop entirely past 32.
- **The activation flash is cleaner** — one ring and a rush of light instead of the old stacked rings, and it no longer stutters the moment you press R.
- **Fixed: the aura vignette was redrawing the screen edges hundreds of times per frame**, which cost FPS on lower-end machines (especially with shaders). It now draws in four passes.
