Note: Curseforge at least for now is forcing me to say this mod "supports some modloader", when it in fact does not use any of the provided modloaders. Disregard this.
Feature Changes:
- Removed April Fools joke.
- Leaves, glass, and liquids now render double sided. Leaves no longer render via Render Runs.
- Leaves are now fall-through and act similar to webs.
- Lava and water buckets now have animated textures.
- Fixed rendering pipeline to properly handle Liquids, Ice, double sided blocks, normal blocks, and Cauldrons simultaneously.
- Changed textures for Cobblestone, Mossy Cobblestone, and Mossy Stone.
- Added Nether Rifts, which replace Nether Portals. Naturally spawn in the ground as large obsidian spheres.
- Added Glowing Obsidian, which in properties is similar to Bedrock.
- Adde Crying Obsidian, a decorative block used with Nether Rifts.
- Added Soul of the Rift, which acts as a consumable one-way Nether Rift. Only obtainable via dungeon loot.
- Portal chest now takes a Rift Soul rather than a flint and steel to craft. Drops 4 obsidian, the gold ingot, and the reinforced diamond chestplate.
- Added the Skylands Dimension, which replaces the Skylands World Type. Exists above the Overworld, literally.
- Players existing in the Skylands World Type will be moved into the Skylands Dimension, the same for players who were in The End.
- Increased sea level to 128 blocks.
- All ores have been rescaled according to the new world height.
- Changed world generator drastically.
- Nether now generates up to 256 blocks.
- Save converter now raises Overworld and Skylands (World Type) chunks and entities to the new sea level, and regenerates the terrain in all dimensions to fill the gaps. The bedrock layer on the bottom of the Overworld and the top of the Nether for old chunks has been removed and replaced with new terrain.
- Save converter now fixes Doors and Chests from Beta 1.7.3 saves.
- Save converter now regenerates block light from converted saves to fix improper lighting.
- Fully sleeping will now heal the player.
- Sprinting duration is now dependent on player health.
- Sprinting cooldown is now dependent on player health AND how long the player sprinted for.
- Added /locate command, useful for finding Villages, Mineshafts, Strongholds, and Nether Fortresses.
- Improved /give command to allow the input of ignore-case underscored localized item names.
Optimizations:
- Improved memory usage by 4-5x.
- Decreased garbage creation and improved relinquishing of unused objects.
- Improved performance and versatility of the Lighting Engine.
- Game now uses around 700MB of RAM on average for a singleplayer game.
Fixes:
- Too many. If an error still persists, please send in a ticket.
