Whitecap 2.1.3 (Fabric 26.2)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Whitecap 2.1.3
Fixed
- Blocks set into the water's surface are flat again. 2.1.1 let the sea run over small groups of such blocks ("awash"), which read as the waves overlapping a platform until a taller block was attached to it. That behaviour is off: a block set into the top layer calms the water around it, whatever stands beside it, and a block one below the surface has the sea over it as before.
- Lily pads (and frogspawn) no longer sink under the waves. The water under them is held flat, as under a dock.
- Falls into the sea. A waterfall, or a bucket poured into the air over the sea, cut a hole through the surface from under water and a seam from above. The water a fall lands in is now left to the game, and the sea calms and blends into it, as beside any flowing water.
- The block outline and hitboxes under the sea. The outline of a block picked under the surface, and the hitbox of a mob swimming under it, were hidden by the water; both now show through it as they do through vanilla's. (Chunk borders, F3+G, are still cut at the surface; they are drawn after the sea is.)
- Whitecaps on the open sea no longer light up as flat sheets with two-tone seams crawling through them; they are smaller, broken and whiter. If they are now too sparse for you, the Whitecaps slider goes up.
Not in this release
- Sable: translucent blocks and doors at the waterline of a sublevel seeing through the water with ship interiors set to Dry, and floating edges where a floating sublevel cuts the waves. Both need a ship to look at and will be next.
