[NeoForge - 1.21.11] Realistic Landing - 2.0.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
COMPLETE LANDING CONTROLLER
- Added dedicated Flight, Approach, Flare, Touchdown, Rollout, Taxi, and Go-Around stages.
- Landing behavior now activates only while descending near the ground.
- The staged landing controller remains inactive outside the landing envelope; the separate zero-throttle momentum fix remains active.
- Raising the throttle to go-around power immediately releases landing assistance.
- Added actual ground-clearance detection instead of relying on world height.
ADAPTIVE APPROACH AND FLARE
- Added an adaptive reference landing speed based on aircraft lift, mass, propulsion, passengers, and cargo.
- Approach and flare behavior now scales for different aircraft and payloads.
- Excessive sink rate is progressively softened near the runway without forcing the aircraft upward.
- Abrupt pitch changes are smoothed during the flare while preserving pilot control.
- Added Balanced, Realistic, and Cinematic behavior presets.
TOUCHDOWN FEEDBACK
- Touchdowns now record sink rate, sideways drift, pitch angle, and forward speed.
- Added Smooth, Good, Firm, Hard, and Severe landing ratings.
- Added controlled bounce behavior: small wheel bounces are dampened while hard impacts retain a stronger reaction.
- Added optional hard-landing damage. It is disabled by default.
ROLLOUT AND SURFACE PHYSICS
- Reworked touchdown momentum so aircraft no longer stop abruptly.
- Added progressive rolling resistance for high-speed rollout, braking, and low-speed taxiing.
- Added directional stability during high-speed runway rollout.
- Paved surfaces provide predictable grip.
- Grass, dirt, sand, gravel, mud, and snow increase rolling resistance.
- Ice increases rollout distance and reduces steering grip.
- Preserved the original 30% minimum ground-throttle improvement.
- Zero throttle in the air no longer destroys forward momentum instantly.
HUD AND CONFIGURATION
- Added a compact HUD showing landing stage, speed, vertical speed, ground clearance, reference speed, surface, and touchdown rating.
- The HUD defaults to middle-left with a 42-pixel vertical offset, directly below the Realistic Takeoff HUD.
- Added settings for flare assistance, pitch smoothing, rollout retention, braking, runway stability, surface physics, bounce control, payload effects, go-around throttle, ratings, damage, and HUD placement.
- Settings are generated in config/realistic-landing.properties.
- Existing configuration files remain usable. Delete the file once to regenerate every documented 2.0 setting.
